6. Key Deliverables
Mission Statement: To provide an
event that guides and leads any and all
business, human resources, and
marketing students towards their goal of
successfully obtaining a degree at
Chippewa Valley Technical College.
CVTC is seeking to help students continue their education. Statistics show that each semester, students have been discontinuing their programs, especially between their 1st and 2nd semester. These statistics show that the percentage has been rising quickly of the past few years. The goal for the integrated business programs, in this 2015-2016 academic year, is to improve student retention. The Integrated Business Advising Day event will encourage and provide a place for students to remain on track with their education by giving them easy access to resources that they need.
Background: This is a first time event. It was likened to an open house, in which students can come in without an appointment and speak to a staff member best suited to assist them. Students can be assisted with financial aid, scheduling, internship questions, class registration, and academic advising questions.
Risks: too few students attend, lack of staffing for the event, technological problems, lack of a marketing budget, the location is suited for all technological needs.
Success Criteria: Location meeting all necessary requirements, equipment is available to students, all necessary staff available and present, assisting a minimum of 30 students, and a exit survey that is beneficial for the client.
