Cover Letter Updated Learning Development Manager 2016
1. To Whom it May Concern,
Thank you in advance for your time. My name is Olivia Nielsen and I am eager to
advance my career potential as a Learning Development Program Manager within your
company. My primary focus is performance improvement, and I have relevant experience in
staff training, performance coaching, learning development, and project management.
Currently, I create learning and development programs within various and diverse
teams, facilitate communication of training goals, and ensure all employees are engaged in
productive activities. I utilize daily behavioral assessment tools to monitor, graph, and analyze
client and staff progress so that training strategies can be adjusted to meet organizational
needs. Recently, I developed an e-learning staff training protocol through PowerPoint that has
reduced new hire training time by 25% and decreased the need for oral feedback from
managers in a clinic by 50% to meet competency.
Additionally, I also have created and managed technical materials and manuals to
address performance gaps and align competencies of new and experienced employees. I also
have several years of experience in group training development and facilitation as an academic
coach for athletic students, a transfer liaison in the Transfer Center for incoming students, and
a graduate teaching assistant. Above all else, I continuously aim to learn and cultivate success
within my profession and provide my team members with the necessary tools and skills they
will need to also achieve their goals and be exceptional in their respective jobs.
I look forward to any opportunity to discuss my passion for performance improvement
and continue developing my skills within your network. Please feel free to contact me at any
time, at your earliest convenience.
Best regards,
Olivia Nielsen, M.B.A.
