DESCRIPTION
Available in high power packages, the BTA/
BTB40-41 series is suitable for general purpose RD91
AC switching. They can be used as an ON/OFF (BTA40)
function in applications such as static relays, heat-

  • 1. ® BTA40, BTA41 and BTB41 Series STANDARD 40A TRIACS Table 1: Main Features A2 Symbol Value Unit IT(RMS) 40 A G VDRM/VRRM 600 and 800 V A1 IGT (Q1) 50 mA A1 G A2 DESCRIPTION Available in high power packages, the BTA/ BTB40-41 series is suitable for general purpose RD91 AC switching. They can be used as an ON/OFF (BTA40) function in applications such as static relays, heat- A2 ing regulation, induction motor starting circuits... or for phase control operation in light dimmers, motor speed controllers, ... A1 A1 A2 Thanks to their clip assembly technique, they G A2 G provide a superior performance in surge current TOP3 Insulated TOP3 handling capabilities. (BTA41) (BTB41) By using an internal ceramic pad, the BTA series provides voltage insulated tab (rated at 2500VRMS) complying with UL standards (File ref.: Table 2: Order Codes E81734). Part Number Marking BTA40-xxxB BTA41-xxxBRG See table 8 on page 6 BTB41-xxxBRG October 2005 REV. 7 1/7
