The purpose of the following
course is to provide you with
a necessary introductory
grounding in the areas of
exactly what a fire warden is,
what their responsibilities are,
and how best they should
conduct themselves in the
event of one of the most
unthinkable emergencies, a
devastating fire. To make this
possible, the course covers areas
including the nature of the laws
surrounding fire safety and all
fire wardens’ responsibilities.
This Fire Warden Training Course course
is ideal for individuals responsible for taking
on the position of fire warden in the workplace.
And you don’t require any previous qualifications to enrol on this
course. In fact, anyone at any level can enrol and it includes both the
basics and the intermediate aspects of fire safety.
The fire triangle, types of fires, class A fires, class B fires, class
C fires, class d fires, the types of fires - electrical fires, class F
fires, fire tools - fire extinguishers, water extinguishers,
powder extinguishers, foam extinguishers, carbon dioxide
extinguishers, wet chemical extinguishers, specific rules and
safety measures.

3. Manual handling risk assessments, what is a risk assessment,
definitions of terms in an official risk assessment, identify the
hazards, the TILE method, other methods of identifying haz-
ards, hazards of the load itself, hazards in the working envi-
ronment, deciding who might be harmed and how, evaluat-
ing the risks and deciding on precautions, controlling the
level of risk, record the findings and implement them, moni-
tor and review the assessment and update it if necessary,
controlling and reducing the risks of manual handling.

Fire safety arrangements - the fire plan, fire prevention, fire
evacuation plan, fire warden's roles in safety arrangements,
housekeeping, fire detection and warning systems, fire detec-
