Baffinland Iron Ore, Mary River Mine, Baffin Island 2013 - 2016
General Manager of Operations
o Responsible for a $200 million (Can) budget in a fly in / fly out (FIFO) operation.
o Accountable for 450 employees located at the mine and at the port as well as the
100km roadway connecting the two sites.
o Stabilized the workforce during the transfer from construction to mining phase.
o Ensured that all departments were adhering to the Impact Benefits Agreement.
o Coordinated all outgoing communications with proper corporate vice presidents.
o Designed and implemented a safe work and accountability plan for all site.
o Worked with Human Resources and Safety to design policies for FIFO.
Mine Manager
o Responsible for a $39 million (Can) budget as part of an early revenue phase.
o Completed work bid at $125 million for $29 million with our own crews.
o Accountable for all engineering, geology, survey, and operations. (85 people)
o Eventually assigned control of mobile maintenance and ore handling operations.
o Designed a training program which enabled 40% native complement in the mine.
o Creation of initial budget, all mine SOP’s, and all report templates.
o Found ways to work effectively in extreme artic weather conditions with no lost
time incidents.
2. Vale NL, Voisey’s Bay Mine, Labrador Operations 2005 - 2013
Mine Manager
o Managed 120 individuals in mining, technical support, and mobile maintenance.
o Responsible for a $90 milliion (Can) budget.
o Increased production by 14% while reducing mine crews by 8%. Positions were
moved to mobile maintenance allowing a delay in capital replacements.
o Represented the company with both Innu and Inuit in regards to training and
employment standards.
o Helped create a safe work environment after an 18 month strike.
Superintendent of Technical Services
o Managed 11 employees and a $4.3 million budget.
o Took responsibility for Mine Operations on weekends.
o Completion and tracking of all Capital Acquisition Requests and budgets.
o Design and implementation of mining safety and efficiency programs such as
blasting criteria, dump stability, hazard assessment, and safe work procedures.

Northgate Minerals Corporation, Kemess Mine, BC 1998-2005
Mine Project Planner
o Presented a fragmentation model which was implemented. Blasting costs rose
by $1 million but easier throughput resulted in an extra $7 million in earnings.
o Created a 3D model of all test pits in our tailings dam area which allowed a 5
year plan to be created.
o Proposed a $13 million budget and using upstream borrows using old mine
equipment instead of contractors. Dam was completed on time and budget.
o Designed or oversaw all mine related infrastructure such as roads, collection
ponds and decant system.
o Worked with the Environmental Dept. to ensure compliance with the new acid
generation rules and permits for borrow pits.
o Responsible for all short range mine planning.
3. Tailings Dam Planner
o Construction scheduling and coordination of all material movement.
o Managing daily construction activities to maximize contractor efficiency.
o Development of a detailed contract with the mines materials management group.
o Ensuring compliance with all permits and submission of governmental reports.
