Role and Responsibilities
Assisting the PM by being his “eyes and ears” on site. Supervising various
trades, daily record keeping and recording / site diary, resolving day to day
issues, raising RFI’s where relevant.
Promote and maintain project safety awareness at all levels and support the
development of a strong project safety culture.
Ensure that Project HS&E Plans Procedures and Management Systems for
executing the work are in accordance with legislative requirements and JGL & SGCL
procedures
Inform SGCL in addition to HSE of any incident, death, reportable injury, ill health or
dangerous occurrence as defined within the RIDDOR Regulations.
Carry out investigations of accidents and incidents in accordance with Company and
contract procedures.
Monitor that the programme of HS&E audits and inspections are carried out on site
and that closure of inspection findings, non-conformances and corrective actions are
being effectively managed.
Provide for weekly meetings with HS&E as the first item on the agenda.
Prepare and submit Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Promote and maintain project safety awareness at all levels and support the
development of a strong project safety culture.
Monitor the work is being carried out in accordance with the Project Plans, Method
Statements Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and the CDM Construction
Health and Safety Plan
Ensure that Project Accident Records, Safety Statistics and Monthly Safety Report
are issued to the Joseph Gallagher Ltd Construction Director.
Environmental Management
Implement the Drugs and Alcohol Policy.
Ensure that all persons employed are competent for the tasks and have successfully
completed the required training.
Notify the Joseph Gallagher Ltd Construction Director of any issues, which may
adversely affect completion of the installation work with respect to HS&E design
issues.
