Thomas Vanderwerf has over 25 years of experience in instrument calibration, maintenance, and installation. He currently works as an Instrument Calibration Instructor, teaching students to calibrate process instruments. Previously, he held roles as an Instrumentation and Electrical Foreman and Lead Technician at various oil refineries and power plants where he performed loop checks, commissioning, troubleshooting, and calibration of instruments including transmitters, valves, and control systems. He has extensive training and certifications in instrumentation, software, and welding.
