Be organised and plan advance
Do the blogs as soon as possible – aim for at least one very week
(although more is needed)
Mini deadlines will be given to help track and monitor progress
Any editing softwarethat will be used should be practiced on and
researched before the brief is given
You should feel comfortablein the location you have chosen for filming,
and it mustbe easily accessible to maintain continuity in filming
Clear any distractions from the background of the music video
Plan your shots, e.g. storyboarding and brainstorming
Plan your magazinedesigns e.g. designing and mood boards
Take lots of shots to keep options open for both the video and the
magazine cover
Make shooting schedules to keep organised
Show a range of people your drafts to receive lots of different feedback
Accept criticism and useit to improve
Must choose a song that already does not have a music video
Must use at least twolocations anduse twomodels for the magazine
covers
Make sureediting fits the beat of the songs
Make surethe mise en scene fits the magazine brief
Plan the footage and layouts
iMovie and Final Cut Pro are good for editing
Photoshop is good for magazine editing
Canva can be used for adverts and converting word documents
Slidesharecan be used for converting word documents and PowerPoints
Webnode is a free website creating app
Equipment should be checked before creating anything and work should
be saved consistently
