RV rubber recycling chemical in
tire retreated industry
Test requirements:
1. RV rubber recycling chemical
2. Open mill
3. Rubber scraps or rubber powder
Technique process& Advantages:
Put 100PHR rubber waste or rubber powder and 3PHR RV rubber recycling chemical on open mill, milling for
10-15 mins under normal temperature and pressure. Then we get the revived rubber compounds(RVR),RVR can be
cured without any sulphur and accelerator, and RVR can be used singly or replace the raw rubber compounds for
20-70% .
The technique can be used for scorched rubber also, and the formula is 0.5-2:100(RV: scorched rubber)
Property comparison for RVR and normal reclaimed rubber(Applicated for tire
tread):
A#- -RVR-Processed by RV Rubber recycling chemical and 40meshes rubber powder
B#-- Rubber powder, activation rubber powder and fine reclaimed rubber
The conclusion under same mixing proportion:
1. A# gains better Vulcanizing performance than B#;
2. The re-treated tire mixed with A# has similar wear-resisting property with the original re-treated tire
formula
Test-From a tire re-treated factory:
Comparison for RV treated off-the-road tire, truck tire tread powder and other kinds of rubber powder, the test
shows, RV revived tire tread materials is better.
1 Test
1.1 Test materials
RV rubber recycling chemical, provide by Hebei RVtech Co.,Ltd
40meshes off-the-road tire tread rubber powder, unvulcanized tire tread rubber, provided by tire re-treated
factory
40meshes truck tire tread powder, 60meshes rubber powder, fine reclaimed rubber and 40meshes activation
rubber powder purchase from the market.
(Formula of the unvulcanized tire tread:NR 100, zinc oxide 4, stearic acid 2.5, anti-aging system
3.5, carbon black 50, softener 4;accelerator 1.2, sulphur 1.8)

2.1 The influence of RVR property by different kinds of rubber powder
Mix the off -the -road tire tread and truck tire tread into RVR and vulcanize it directly, see the properties from
Sheet 1.

rubber powder gains better vulcanization property. But the vulcanization retention is same, so it shows that RV
rubber recycling chemical has same restore property to the two kinds of rubber powder. RVR can be used to replace
the raw rubber tread compounds, so the cost of sulphur and accelerator was saved.
2.2 Different influences of RVR to the tire tread properties
Separately mix the RVR made from off-the-road tire tread and truck tire tread by 20% into No.1 tire tread
rubber, and get the physical property as sheet 2.

Sheet 2 shows, mixed tire tread materials made from different kinds of rubber powder, property retention of the
hardness, stress at definite elongation, elongation at break and tensile strength is same, the tear strength is different,
it is because of the dust inside rubber powder. The test shows, different kinds of rubber powder makes different
kinds of vulcanizing property, but when mixed the off-the-road tire rubber powder and truck tire powder, the
vulcanization property is nearly the same.
2.3 Reclaimed rubber and mixed percentage influence for the tire tread property
Mix the RVR reclaimed rubber made from 40meshes off-the-road tire rubber powder, 40meshes activation
rubber powder, 60meshes rubber powder and fine reclaimed rubber, by 10%,15%,20%,30% and 40%, into No1 tire
tread materials, see the physical vulcanization property from sheet 3

The result shows, vulcanization property retention of RVR mixed rubber is the best.
2.4 Mileage test
Compare the original re-treated tire and the RVR retreated tire for mileage test, and fix them on same car, see
the result from sheet 4 and 5. It shows, RVR retreated tire has better vulcanization property as national standard.

2.5 Economic benefit analysis
Compare from the mixing dosage of RVR, 40 meshes activation rubber powder and fine reclaimed rubber, we
can see from Sheet 3 that, if we need the tire tread tensile strength to be 25Mpa, so we can only mix 10% of 40
meshes activation rubber powder, 15% of fine reclaimed rubber, but RVR 40%. If we take the cost of origin tire
tread rubber for 15500RMB/T, RVR 7000RMB/T, 40meshes activation rubber powder 5000RMB/T, fine reclaimed
rubber 3800RMB/T, RVR mixed tire tread material cost is 2350RMB/T less than 40 meshes activation rubber
powder, and 1645RMB/T than fine reclaimed rubber.

If we take it retreated tire 2500pcs per year, and cost tire tread materials 30T, and the origin tire tread cost
15500RMB/T, so we can save cost 76500RMB/year(without the cost which saved from sulphur and accelerator). So
it shows, RVR is with better economic benefit.
3 Conclusion
1) RV rubber recycling chemical have different kinds of effect on different kinds rubber powder, and the
RVR can be vulcanized directly.
2) Vulcanization property of better quality RVR and worse RVR is nearly same.
3) Vulcanization property of the tire tread mixed with RVR is better than other kinds of rubber powder,
under same mixing dosage.
4) Mileage test shows, it is reasonable to mix 15-40% of RVR into retreated tire tread, the retreated tire
property is fit for the national standard.
5) Using RVR in retreated tire can save much of the cost.
6) Anti-origin resistance can be improved by mixing of RVR.

RV rubber recycling chemical 2. Open mill 3. Rubber scraps or rubber powder Technique process& Advantages: Put 100PHR rubber waste or rubber powder and 3PHR RV rubber recycling chemical on open mill, milling for 10-15 mins under normal temperature and pressure. Then we get the revived rubber compounds(RVR),RVR can be cured without any sulphur and accelerator, and RVR can be used singly or replace the raw rubber compounds for 20-70% . The technique can be used for scorched rubber also, and the formula is 0.5-2:100(RV: scorched rubber) Property comparison for RVR and normal reclaimed rubber(Applicated for tire tread): A#- -RVR-Processed by RV Rubber recycling chemical and 40meshes rubber powder B#-- Rubber powder, activation rubber powder and fine reclaimed rubber The conclusion under same mixing proportion: 1. A# gains better Vulcanizing performance than B#; 2. But the vulcanization retention is same, so it shows that RV rubber recycling chemical has same restore property to the two kinds of rubber powder. It shows, RVR retreated tire has better vulcanization property as national standard. If we take the cost of origin tire tread rubber for 15500RMB/T, RVR 7000RMB/T, 40meshes activation rubber powder 5000RMB/T, fine reclaimed rubber 3800RMB/T, RVR mixed tire tread material cost is 2350RMB/T less than 40 meshes activation rubber powder, and 1645RMB/T than fine reclaimed rubber. So it shows, RVR is with better economic benefit. 3 Conclusion 1) RV rubber recycling chemical have different kinds of effect on different kinds rubber powder, and the RVR can be vulcanized directly. 2) Vulcanization property of better quality RVR and worse RVR is nearly same. 3) Vulcanization property of the tire tread mixed with RVR is better than other kinds of rubber powder, under same mixing dosage. 4) Mileage test shows, it is reasonable to mix 15-40% of RVR into retreated tire tread, the retreated tire property is fit for the national standard. 5) Using RVR in retreated tire can save much of the cost. 6) Anti-origin resistance can be improved by mixing of RVR.
