Book (Thesis): The Effect of Knowledge Creation Activities on Patent Value - A Case Study on Firm A.
Abstract:
This research proposes to study the effect of knowledge creation activities on patent value. And it is proposed to take a
Taiwanese semi-conductor company as the research object to study the interrelationships between knowledge creation
and patent value through the test of mediating effect on innovation between knowledge creation and patent value.
The results conclude: (1) there is significantly negative relationship between knowledge creation and innovation; (2)
there is significantly positive relationship between innovation and patent value; (3) however, there is significantly
negative relationship between knowledge creation and patent value.
The study also finds the invention also has media effect between knowledge creation and patent value. Invention
activities in the target company would be the effect that causes the negative relationship between knowledge creation
and patent value.
