OBJECTIVE:
Seeking a full-time career where I can combine engineering skills and attention to detail to the
work environment and further develop related skills while being an asset to the business.
EXPERIENCE
Electrolux- North America Parts Operation Center February 2011-Present
Small Parcel Technical Shipping Lead
Currently, leading the small parcel shipping area with a positive attitude and respect for all
employees and accomplishing all set metrics every day. Developed job rotation and increased
work flow in a fast-paced environment through observation of input/ outputs using 5S and 7
Wastes. Coordinated with IT, maintenance, and other departments to seek production and
quality improvements throughout tenure. I was instrumental in designing the layout of shipping
for transportation saving estimated at $300,000 and reduction of labor.
Previously within the company, I worked in Quality Control resolving customer complaints
through prints, BOMs, and factory/ supplier engineers. I then progressed to solving packaging
complaints and using this skill set, I outlined a Packaging Template for over 70,000 SKUs. This
template is now being utilized to standardize packaging processes of like items (i.e. electronic
boards that are ESD sensitive) and generate cost savings from material usage, customer
complaint reduction, and physical shipping volume reduction.
I worked closely with our Business Process Reengineering Team with the goal of moving
packing for inventory to Packaging on Demand (POD). This encompasses an evaluation of
how products are received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped. This was accomplished
through my re-designing of the POD layout and implementing new technology to be able to
handle this increased work load.
Additional projects include, but are not limited to, leading several other projects that will allow
standardization of work flow and customer experience. This includes a master-casing project,
labeling project, training workers on best practices for packing, and a continuation of analyzing
DPPM of damaged parts.
Plant Partners March 2009 - January 2011
Garden Center Coordinator
I applied corporate programs in a fast-paced environment to achieve an effective display for
Lowe's garden centers generating sales and interest in plants. Managed merchandisers and
coordinated the most efficient use of limited time.
2. Fisher Athletic
Project Engineer June 2007 - November 2007
Created and organized drawings of part files on SolidWorks. Using CorelDraw and Word, I
created technical instructions on most products. Solved design issues with previous products
with input from supervisor and suggested recommendations for existing products.
