I am a highly self-motivated tutor with strong interpersonal skills. I have the ability to work

WORK EXPERIENCE
Trainer - DWP Back To Work – Pinnacle People February 2015 – Present
The course content is delivered to long tern unemployed single parents, in connection with
the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions). Training was delivered full-time for two
weeks. Modules delivered include:

Creating and Maintaining Financial
Records
Team Work Making Work Pay
Conflict Management C.V and Letter Writing
The courses designed specifically for single parents include many modules that are fully
transferable and viable for many other provision sectors. Modules include: Communication
and Listening Skills, Team Work, Conflict Management, CV and Letter Writing and Job
Searching. The key aspect of this role job is the employability programme. Success was
measured by the number of unemployed people that were facilitated to secure and sustain
paid employment for a minimum term of sixteen weeks. Training was delivered to encourage

the clients to successfully and positively search out potential employment through Internet
searches and also speculative enquiries; an understanding of the hidden job market and how
to communicate successfully with any potential employers. The aim is to increase the
number of employment opportunities with potential employers and ready the client for any
possible interviews.
ICT Teacher/Tutor – Telford College of Arts and Technology February 2015 – Present
Delivering ICT for beginners at Entry Level in the community. The core responsibilities of this
role are teaching and assessing mainly older students and introducing them the basics of
ICT. Formative and summative and continuing dynamic assessments carried out; with
recommendations for future and or continuing courses.

BICSc Instructor/ Assessor – Milton Keynes College 2010 – November 2013
The core responsibility of this role was teaching and assessing adult convicted prisoners at
HMP Prison Featherstone, to Level Two COPC (Cleaning Operator’s Proficiency Certificate)
BICSc (British Institute of Cleaning Science). The course included contamination control and
all aspects of health and safety.
I have completely rewritten the course material and produced a coherent working table for all
levels of students. Teaching styles included demonstration, facilitation and delegation.
In addition to these responsibilities, I have also taken on the additional duties as health and
safety officer for the education department and have become the ‘Go To’ member of the
education department for all aspects of Contamination Control; implementing new strategies
for both the prison and education departments.
I have also implemented a new indexing system for students’ individual learning plans that
allowed for greater access for managers resulting in greater clarity and flow of needed
information.
ICT Lecturer – Derby College/ The Manchester College February 2004 – 2010
The core responsibilities of this role were teaching and assessing juvenile convicted and
remanded prisoners at HMP Prison Brinsford. Students were assessed to their own abilities
and placed in either beginner, intermediate or advanced classes. Basic ICT (OCR E3, CLAiT
2006 L1) and Advanced ICT (CLAiT Plus L2 and ECDL L2).
Working with juvenile prisoners was always challenging; however, it was also very rewarding.
Significant achievements in this role included increasing the success rate in examination
passes.
Adult ICT Lecturer – Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology September 2003 –
February 2004
Part time adult IT lecturer. Working very closely with the Trade Union Studies department of
Shrewsbury College and the community learning department at Bridgnorth College.

Current courses include ‘Computers for the Terrified’, ‘Computer Studies Level 2’, ‘Advanced
PowerPoint – Level 2’ and ‘Internet for Beginners’.
I have re-written and amended the structure for two of the above courses which are now
being used by all the course lecturers, to include all relevant syllabus credits and produced a
coherent working table for both students and lecturers.
PRODUCT MANAGER– Microids October 2000 - January 2003
Achievements: -
Developed the internal marketing strategy for all UK products to include budgeting and
communications.
Main Communications link between French Head Office – UK Sales and UK Marketing
teams for all products.
Fully managed the production process of POS and advertising materials, liaising on a
near daily basis with design, creative and fulfilment company
Constructed a unique and successful trade-marketing campaign for the successful
launch of Warrior Kings with UK retail partners
Coordinated and managed all aspects of the launch of Microids handheld products,
including Press Tours, competitions, trade marketing and advertising campaigns.
Successfully renegotiated terms with all leading specialist press partners, saving
Microids over 33% per annum in advertising expenses.
Exceeded all advertising expectations with AAA title Warrior Kings – gaining an
unprecedented number of prime advertising slots in a three-month advertising blitz.
Opened up new media channels for advertising and promotions, and established
relationships with non-specific and specialist media brands.
Managed Microids first foray into on-line advertising with Fox kids and handled many
joint on-line Microids/Fox promotions.
Responsibilities: -
Product management of all Microids UK products: including preparing launch plans and
objectives, translation, editing and re-writing of box/manual/sales sheet text. Scheduling
advertising and trade marketing plans. Researching competition and competitive forecasting.
Developing Power Point presentations for trade and merchandising team. Negotiating and
managing all aspects of POS and its positioning. Creating and developing the internal
Marketing.
Overview: -
Microids UK gave me the opportunity to realise my aptitude and capabilities as a premier
Marketing professional. I effectively created a marketing and PR strategy that saw Microids
UK achieve UK retail success in the UK for the very first time; gaining a top five chart placing
for one of their games.
I was wholly responsible for all retail channel marketing activity in the UK and was
instrumental in planning and negotiating the effective use of the UK Trade-marketing budgets
to instigate pre-order campaigns, launch events and other tailored campaigns, while
monitoring product sales, sell-through and special promotions.

INTERESTS/ HOBBIES
Big fan of Northern Soul and Black music. I have successful co-promoted two evening
events per month locally. I also attend the occasional 6T’s Soul all-Nighters and spend far too
much money collecting vinyl records. I love food, particularly Indian and Chinese, but not too
hot
