variety of ways as well as my occasional hands on instruction with the TCAT students in Fayetteville.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Motlow State Community College, Fayetteville, TN
Maintenance Mechanic
Coordinate the day-to-day operations in all matters facility related, estimate the fair repair costs, negotiate and
secure agreements on the cost of the repairs with various constituents, as well as system administration
documentation and maintenance. Follow college/board guidelines and state regulations. Coordinated,
maintained and repaired campus facilities, and equipment.
Participated in Rotary Career Day for the collision repair occupation. I planned the hour of instruction
for three different sessions. The students performed a visual eye test to identify the students who
would do well as a collision repair painter. During the hour I also covered many different aspects that
I thought would excite them about other related fields.
Personally overseen the safety and direction of classroom schedule to keep students safe while
they attended classes during a major construction project. Had to work closely with the State Fire
Marshall’s office and Fayetteville city administrators, normally they would have closed the
building during such a project but felt that I could maintain a safe environment for students.
Worked one-on-one with SGA and PTK officers to meet the demands of their position, such as
their campaign to start a recycling project. Work with all students to help them succeed.
Helped a particular non-traditional veteran student build and paint a scaled model of Tokyo city
in the 50’s for a school project. The student was having difficulty finishing the project by the
deadline. I showed him a different technique of painting his model and then left him to finish his
project on time.
Helped a student figure out what the objectives should be for a new charter they were writing
regarding the recycling project.
Have had to dismantle difficult situations involving students for the best possible outcome.
Trained a number of faculty on use of smart classroom technology.
IT experience-routing communication cables and installation of smart stations, projectors, document
camera,and computeraudio visualequipment
