Release Overview

OGSD 7.0 Release Overview
OGSD 7.0 is the most comprehensive release
ever for logistic processes in the Oil & Gas
downstream area.
Customers benefit from a wide range of
applications that help to streamline the complete
logistics process from order taking to delivery.
With OGSD 7.0 many applications now come
with a completely new UI using state-of-the-art
browser based technology.

OGSD 7.0 has been developed on NetWeaver 740, ECC 6
EhP 7
• Programming environment ABAP OO
• UI Technologies used: WebDynpro, Floor Plan Manager
• Additional graphical elements: Adobe Flex

Product Version OGSD 7.0
OGSD 7.0 Software Architecture
The product version OGSD 7.0 comes with two separate
software components that both can be installed as Add-
ons.
• Oil and Gas Secondary Distribution 700
• Bulk Secondary Logistics Management 100
The OGSD 700 Add-on provides solutions for logistic
automation and service stations plus many classic OGSD
applications and requires the Business Function Set Oil &
Gas to be active at installation time.
The BSLM 100 Add-on can be installed on a standard ECC
system and provides an interactive truck dispatch
solution. More scenarios can be activated if BFS Oil & Gas
is activated in the system.

Data Collation

PAT Data Collation
Logistics automation with Data Collation has always been a strength of OGSD. With OGSD 7.0
PAT becomes the new foundation for Data Collation.
Customers will benefit from:
Improved performance
 With Data Collation on PAT all processes are posted trough BAPIs
 The need for Batch Input is completely eliminated
New User Interface
• PAT uses WebDynpro Floor Plan Manager as UI technology
• Data Collation can now be used in a Web Browser
Higher robustness
• With the new posting logic Data Collation is now robust against any changes in the application UI in MM and
SD

PAT Data Collation - Business benefits
Ease of use: the user concentrates on the business process, not a sequence of transactions
High trough-put: posting one Data Collation document posts many logistics documents at once
Data consistency: copy control from reference document and checks guarantee consistency
Automation: external TAS systems can be integrated using IDocs and OGSD interfaces

categories has been optimized for

A typical business process
describes a sale with reference to
a contract from a third-party plant.
The reference document for the process is
a sales contract.

Standard Reports
A standard report has no connection to a vehicle. All
items in a standard report are independent from each
other.
A standard report can consist of many independent
business processes that will be posted in sequence.

station.
The configurable Launchpad gives

If a map provider is available,
service station locations can be
visualized on a map.

in the Network Operation Desk
shows detailed information about
• Station type
• Address
• Partner roles
• Document flow

RFNO Document: Business Process Data
In the document header the
quantity sold and the metered
quantity is cumulated by product
meter.
In the item data the various events
like product sales and goods issue
are listed and later posted to the
standard logistics documents.

RFNO Document: Instant Analysis
Graphical analysis can be defined
in customizing and assigned to
document types.
The ‘Statistics’ tab provide instant
access to graphical analysis of
data from the RFNO document.

Truck dispatch solution for bulk deliveries
Concurrent truck dispatching integrated into ECC 6.0 for close-
range logistics
 Identify loading and unloading points on an interactive map
 Compilation of tours by point-and-click
 Instant calculation of tour duration including driving times, loading
and unloading times, set-up times
 Assignment to trucks and drivers on Gantt chart
Installable on standard ECC 6.0 EhP 6 systems

Degree Day Average (OGSD standard)
• Based on annual average weather data
• Steady consumption rates
Daily Degree Days (requires BSLM)
• Calculation based on daily degreed days
Standing Orders (requires BSLM)
• Fixed cycle replenishment (per week, month, year)

CPR Calculation
The CPR calculation works with
measured temperatures for past
days since the last delivery. For
estimations into the future statistic
weather data is used.
Once a threshold value is reached
replenishment data for follow-up is
generated.

CPR Analysis Tool
Detailed analysis of consumption forecast
• Detailed consumption history for individual tanks
• Simulate effect of different K-factor values
• Direct K-factor update

Sales Region Designer
Interactive grouping of customers
• Assign customers to geographic regions
• Configurable follow-up processes (e.g.
master data update)
