Work Experience
Urban Manufacturing- Pewaukee, WI June 2010- Present
When I started I worked part time during the summers doing the most basic of packaging. I
worked my way up from that point to small machine operations into CNC lathe and Mill
operation, as well as Mill set-up. Eventually working my way into a purchasing and inventory
roll, where I learned more about the inner workings of the business, from quoting to final
production.
Genesee Depot Café- Genesee Depot, WI June 2013-August 2014
While working at the Café, I increased my knowledge of cooking. I worked everything from
doing dishes, to cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner hours. I did preparation work, as well as
stocking the shelves with food and drinks. I improved on my communication skills in an open
kitchen type setting. I also increased my team work skills.
Incahoots Saloon and Eatery- Genesee Depot, WI June 2007- April 2013
Starting out as a busser and then moving up to a lead cook position, I learned leadership skills,
and being able to communicate with others to keep the kitchen running smoothly. I learned the
importance of safety in the kitchen and what to do in different situations to prevent injuries to
others. I did many other side jobs, from cleaning out the basement after flooding to stripping and
resealing the hard wood floors in the dining room. I also spent a week working outside in high
temperatures removing rock to prevent further flooding of the basement. Through these various
side jobs, I learned the value of hard work and what it takes to keep a restaurant and bar up and
running.
