Proteins
They keep our bones and teeth healthy.
 Fats give us energy.
 Too much fatty food can make you obese.
 Vegetable oils are healthier than animals fats such as butter.
 Carbohydrates also give us energy, but less energy than fats.
 They help our digestion.
Proteins form part of our muscles and organs.
We need them to grow.
We need vitamins and minerals to be healthy and to prevent
illnesses.
Circle blue the healthy food and circle black unhealthy food.
FATS, VITAMINS AND MINERALS (fruits and vegetables),
CARBOHYDRATES, PROTEINS, DAIRY PRODUCTS
Circle the pictures that belong in the food group.
We need to eat the right amounts of the different food groups.
If we don’t follow a healthy diet, we can have health problems.
We eat three main meals every day: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It’s a good idea to have 2 healthy snacks every day. They give us
energy between meals.
When you are ill, the doctor helps you to get better. When you are well,
there are many things you can do to stay healthy.
HYGIENE
REST
EXERCISE AND SPORT
Clean your teeth after every meal.
Have a shower every day.
Wash fresh food.
Wash you hands.
Sleep about ten hours a day to stay healthy.
If you sleep too little, you become weaker and can get ill more easily.
It makes your muscles stronger and makes you more flexible.
It is good for your health and circulation.
It is a way to have fun with your friends.
It maintains your correct weight.
