Try different teaching styles if one
doesn't work.
Appear Calm
ICE: IGNORE (other behavior) and
CONTINUE
The child is just trying a way that worked
in the past.
We teach people how to treat us.
Reward
DO NOT give in until they demonstrate
behavior.
Reward for an attempt at first.
Now is the fun part, deliver the reward!
Extinguish reward.
Determine the Reward
Food items (even candy.)
Praise, hugs, tickles or high fives.
Time playing with you.
A toy, movie, iPad, video game.
