2. subjects:
• concept of water level
•water level indicator and working
•water level sensors
•working of water level sensors
•Rain monitoring
3. water is a height or elevation of water in
rivers,tanks,ponds,etc......
•mainly automatic water controlers ensures no over
flowing of water and dry running of water pump
•water level indicator gives accurate reading
4. working of water level indicator
• water level indicator is a device that tells about the level of
water
• It mainly works on the principle of sensors
let us consider the example of tank
•In the their is a set of seven probes for the purpose of
estimating the level of water
5. • This water level indicator consists of seven probes and a
alarm with seven segment led light
• last probe indicates that the tank is full
• This device uses a 5v battrey to indicate level of water
• with the help of IC 74555 circuits works
6.
7. • as water fills upto the first probe and seven segment led
indicates 1
• when it fills upto the second probe two circuits will close
and it indicates 2
• this process continues upto sixth probe
• when seventh probe is filled led indicates 7 and alarm
gets activated.
9. uses of device:
• low cost
• no maintainence
• less power consumption
• no wastage of water
10. Applications of device:
• Automatic water level controller will automatically START
the pump set as soon as the water level falls below the
predetermined level (usually 1/2 tank) and shall SWITCH
OFF the pump set as soon as tank is full.
• Fuel level indicator in vehicles.
• Liquid level indicator in the huge containers in the
companies.

12. Rain Monetoring:
• Rain monetoring devices are also known as Rain guages.
• Rain guages are the devices used for measuring amount
of rainfall.
• Rain guages are connected to funnel consists of cylinder
which is marked in mm.
13. • Amount of rain can be
measured with funnel.It has
10 times more cross sectional
area than the normal tube.
• If a cylinder catches an inch
collects in the cylinder, it
means an inch of rain has
fallen.
14. • this is the way to calculate
the amount of rain.
