CAREER OVERVIEW
Sumit has 6+ years of IT experience with Infosys Technologies Ltd, currently working as Senior Associate Consultant in BFSI
domain. He has deep understanding of, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - Waterfall & AGILE Methodology, Project
planning- tracking, Clarity (PM Tool).
Successfully played roles like End to End [E2E] Project Manager/ Project Manager/ E2E Business Analyst for 50+ IT development
and enhancement projects of small/ medium scale for domestic (US) and international market.

document, Implementation Plan. Obtaining key sign offs for every phase and
various activities, through SharePoint.
Working under pressure with multiple projects at a time.
PROJECTS
1. LEGAL ®ULATORY IT PROJECTS: APR 2015-PRESENT
Client: Major U.S. Credit card issuer
Working as: End to End Project Manager
Project Description: The role is to handle Legal & Regulatory projects for clients for India Market, as E2E PM. Recently worked
on Service Tax Rate Change Project for India Market and working on another initiative, driven in response to recommendation from
Reserve Bank of India.
Key highlights:
Work to identify the impact within organization and engage the impacted applications.
Coordination with stakeholders- Business and Technology to identify the Scope, Effort & Timelines.
Documentation as per SDLC and maintenance of Project artifacts and application expenses through PM Tool- Clarity.
Working with all the impacted applications to ensure timely delivery of the scope.
Ensure all stakeholders are in sync with NO gap between the interfacing teams or Technology & Business.
Responsible for End to End Delivery for the complete scope with defined timelines.
Multiple projects at a time.
Major Challenge: Projects being Regulatory, requires to be implemented on specific schedule. For example, in service Tax Rate
change project, Government gave banks only 2 weeks of time to implement the finalized Tax rate! Any miss may attract financial
or legal penalties.
2. AS400DECOMMISSION AND MIGRATION TO SFT: NOV 2014-APR 2015
Client: Major U.S. Credit card issuer
Working as: Project Manager
Project Description: The project was to decommission and replace one legacy system AS400 with SFT [Secure File Transfer].
AS400 is currently being used by client systems and external partners to exchange various periodic reports and files. The initiative
is required to ensure that client systems are using latest market technology and save the cost incurring to maintain AS4 00 [1
Million $/ year]
2. Key highlights:
Responsible for interaction with various teams and external partners to identify the impact and ensure quick on
boarding.
Continuous tracking to identify and resolve all the road blocks.
Work with various systems and stakeholders for approvals, payments to vendors and financial managements.
Clarity [PM Tool] - Management for Master and child DCs, Financials and Tracking.
Major Challenge: I joined this already running project as a replacement to the previous Project Manager. The project was
involving 30+ impacted systems/partners and various technology teams. Biggest challenge was to make sure that I am aware of
all the current activities and able to perform and run without any break to running activities.

Appreciation from client director and Infosys leadership for quick and fault free delivery.
3. VIPER:AUG 2013-NOV 2014
Client: Major U.S. Credit card issuer
Working as: Business Analyst
Project Description: The project is about creating a framework for generating and processing Pre Authorized Virtual cards,
meant for corporate clients. These onetime usable cards can be issued against a pre defined amount and validity period. The
technology will be offered to corporate clients through web portal and systematic mean. It will minimize the settlement efforts
along with implicit benefit of minimized possibility of any raud due to the amount, validity and onetime usable properties.
Key highlights:
Responsible for running AGILE sprint sessions to finalize the action plan and walk through for the team for the current
sprint to make them understand the sprint stories.
To keep team members interested and dedicated, the requirements were clarified and related with their business goals.
Work closely with the team and client to make sure that requirements are well defined/ corrected and are worked upon
as per business goal.
Testing coordination with the E2E testing team and close tracking with all the interacting teams. Ensure that all the
defects/ issues are well analyzed, tracked in QC, assigned and resolved as per priority. Defect prevention activity was
also part of testing management.
Work with all the interfacing teams for all the queries, set ups and clarifications.
Introduction of Project goals, Business objective and schema to new team members.
Major Challenge: The project was my 1st
assignment based on AGILE. Also, the technology was pure card processing, dealing
with E2E framework. I made sure that I prove myself on Both SDLC and technology front. I got good hold of all the activities within
2 months and ensured that I am single PoC for my and all interfacing teams for all the queries and day to day activities.

4. GLOBAL COMMUNICATION SOLUTION [BFSIDOMAIN]:NOV 11-AUG 2013

Project Description: GCS is an enterprise utility which takes care of all the servicing communications that includes- Paper Letter,
Email, and Fax. These communications are usually compliance driven in nature related to Fraud, Dispute and marketing units etc.
Key highlights:
Take bottom-line/complete responsibility for the execution of the project as child PM or End to End PM.
Scheduling and running requirements gathering sessions, keeping meetings on track & productive.
Documenting & obtaining sign offs on Project artifacts.
Intra team (Java, Mainframe, Thunderhead, Release Management, Production Support and Infrastructure Management)
management and co ordination and keeping direct impacted teams in sync throughout the project life cycle.
Managing a team of 15- 18 developers and tech leads, having constant interaction with Stakeholders.
Managing PM Tool (Clarity).
Major Challenge: Shared resources, highly dynamic nature of the project in terms of requirement, impacted teams and new
business initiatives (sometime with stringent timelines), working with clients from various business units and geographies, Multiple

Project Description: The project aimed for below mentioned up gradations of ATM infrastructure for the Global Banks,
accepting the cards issued by client:
End to End Network upgrade including the encryption enhancement for the authorization requests in order to minimize
any fraud possibility and to meet the Banking audit needs.
Enabling capabilities to process new card type: EMV/ Chip cards.
Transfer of Disaster Management site.
Key highlights:
Worked as End to End BSA for 15+ Global Banks for Europe market.
Gathered requirement, performed analysis, Project planning using Microsoft Project Plan (MPP).
Documentation and obtaining required sign offs on various Project artifacts.
Continuous interaction with client and all the development & testing teams for tracking and reporting throughout the
SDLC.
Responsible for engaging various network and impacted teams.
Responsible for E2E Development, Testing and Schedule adherence.

Major Challenge: Customized Request/ Response authorization formats for every market as per local banking regulations, time
zone difference, clients from 3 continents, Multiple projects at a time (4- 8)!

E2E BSA for Infrastructure and EMV upgrade project for complete German banking network, accepting cards issued
by client.

6. BLACKBOXFOR INTERACTIVE TRANSACTION SOLUTIONS:FEB 09-JUN 10
Client: Major U.S. Credit card issuer
Worked As: Software Engineer
Technology Involved: Java, Struts 2.0, RDBMS
Training: 6 months training for C, C++, HTM, database (RDBMS), Core Java and programming.
Project Description: Project aimed at making software which can process all type of POS authorization request despite of the
authorization request format. The project had three modules: Admin, Online processing and End of Day settlement.
Responsibility: One of three modules, ‘EOD’, in which End of day settlements were to be done for POS transactions. Sumit had
been a part of requirement understanding, development team, testing (SIT, UAT) and gained good knowledge of various
authorization request formats. He was a part of the 4 member UAT team when the original team strength was 10.
Major Challenge: The objective was to create software which can understand and process different authorization request
specifications. We were not having exact idea of some of the fields, making it must for us to understand what we were coding, to
accommodate possible modification in later stage of the project.
Achievement- Blackbox was my 1st
project after successful completion of Infosys 6 month training. I was able to create a space
in the team and was retained till UAT- considering my deep understanding of my module.
