Provided an extensive technology services for McKesson Corporation Health Care
products, including software installation, support, testing and user training. Installed and
upgraded software applications on Hewlett (HP), International Business Machines (IBM
or AIX) and Linux servers.
Eliminated person-level duplicates so that patient encounters matched up to the
correct person by scrubbing data to create a master patient index.
Extracted data and created Health Level Seven (HL7) messages to post to the
application for backload projects from Sybase to Oracle database.
Helped students learn how to chart and view data in the application by teaching
training courses for a simulated tool, which sent messages to the application.
Proactive script writing to improve the efficiency of data archivie monitoring
system so that system administrators can be notified of next day failure, as
apposed to one to two months later. Saved the production database from
incurring a 20% to 30% space increase.
Served as team’s sole engineer to install software for business objects reports
from the server kick start of the Linux bricks until the web pages were completed
for the Application Consultants.
