Technical Implementation Engineer
Provided extensive technology services for McKesson Corporation Health Care products,
including software installation, support, testing and user training. Installed and
upgraded software applications on Hewlett (HP), International Business Machines (IBM
or AIX) and Linux servers.
 Eliminated person-level duplicates so that patient encounters matched up to the
correct person by scrubbing data to create a master patient index in the database.
 Extracted data and created Health Level Seven (HL7) messages to send through
the interface to post to the application for backload projects from Sybase to
Oracle databases. Message types include person/encounter data, labortory,
radiology and transcription, orders.
 Taught training courses using a simulated interface tool which sent messages
to a patient care application allowing students to practice charting and
viewing patient information.

system so that system administrators can be notified of next day failure, as
opposed to one to two months later. Saved the production database from
incurring a 20% to 30% space increase.
 Served as team’s sole engineer to install software for business objects reports.
Kick started the Linux bricks to create the filesystems. Installed the third party
application software and Oracle database components. Installed the end user
web pages for the Application Consultants.
 Set up the components needed for the build of the customer’s American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) requirements.
 Other projects included 1.) changing the master patient list from other venders to
McKesson’s and 2.) hardware conversion projects from single servers to Real
Application Clusters (RAC) on Linux bricks.
