3. • Casualty of Love: “Casualty of Love” feels very Motown inspired with the jazz influence and slow tones.
Jessie J's remarkable vocal range presents itself on this song. At this point in the album, the album has
a more organic feel overall. Who You Are feels like a window into Jessie J’s life instead of a pop
produced album, which is a welcomed changed in the pop music industry.

4. In her music video Price tag, and who’s laughing now, Jessie J uses constant
flashbacks and flash-forwards between her older self and her younger self, this is
one of the aspects we have been inspired by, and have incorporated in our own
music video.
“I’ve controlled everything,” she says. “The covers, I’ve picked Rankin to do the photography, I’ve chosen my video director, I’ve written the
treatment, the pictures that go in the sleeve, the track listing, it’s all me. I’m a control freak. And I should be in control. It’s my baby and I don’t like it
when I’m not in control!” And she laughs. But that doesn’t mean she’s not serious.
Her videos also express a lot of strong emotions and determined views such as; who you are, who’s laughing now, Nobody’s perfect, Bang
Bang and Price Tag.
Jessie’s inspiration for her music videos often come from past relationships and showing that she is still strong and things don’t get her down.
They are often wild and bizarre, and often proceed in a liner order.
Our idea of having our female character on crutches, came
from the fact that in March 2012, Jessie J broke her leg and
was on crutches.
