2. Firstly using the
tool bar on the left
on the image I
inserted a picture
on to
Photoshop, which
I had previously
taken of my model
in order to create
the back round of
my music
magazine front
cover.
3. Next I selected an appropriate font and design to
make the mast head of my front cover look unique
and effective. I used the text box in Photoshop to
create the mast head and then edited it using the
tools available. In order to make the models head
look in front on the masthead, I used the eraser
tool to carefully rub out some of the title.
4. In order to create the Coverlines
on my front cover I again
selected appropriate font, size
and colour which matched my
chosen colour scheme. I used a
text box in order to create my
Coverlines.
5. Also after selecting the
appropriate place, I added
my final Coverlines.
My main coverline took a few
attempts in order for it too look
professional. Firstly the colour was
red to match my colour scheme
however purple was also on my

‘Exclusive’ to stand out. My main coverline was inserted with
a text box.
6. I then included a date and
price of my magazine so
that it looks official.
I created a black box in order to look like a black strip across
the bottom of my page. I then created a text box and listed the
names of 5 indie music artists as I figured it would make it look
professional. The colours match my chosen colour scheme.
7. I also used a text box in
order to put the slogan of my
music magazine onto the The final touches of my front
page. cover included making a shape
which is the ‘puff’ of the
magazine. I considered what my
target audience has said and
wrote ‘WIN Glastonbury 2012
tickets’
I uploaded a barcode
onto my front cover in
order for it to look
official.
