According to oxford dictionary fruit is the part of a
plant that consist of one or more seeds and flesh, can be
eaten as food and usually tastes sweet.
fruit is the seed-bearing structure in flowering
plants formed from the ovary after flowering.
When mature ovary is eaten botanically termed as fruit.
On the other hand, in botanical usage, "fruit" includes
many structures that are not commonly called “fruits”
such as bean pods, corn kernels, tomatoes,
and wheat grains.

 Importance of fruits in human diet is well recognized.
The fruits are the chief source of vitamins which help
in the maintenance of proper health and resistance to
diseases.
 Most fruits are naturally low in fat, sodium, and
calories, None have cholesterol. Fruits are sources of
many essential nutrients that are under consumed,
including potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin C, and
foliate (folic acid).
 Diets rich in potassium may help to maintain healthy
blood pressure.

According to oxford dictionary fruit is the part of a plant that consist of one or more seeds and flesh, can be eaten as food and usually tastes sweet. fruit is the seed-bearing structure in flowering plants formed from the ovary after flowering. When mature ovary is eaten botanically termed as fruit. On the other hand, in botanical usage, "fruit" includes many structures that are not commonly called “fruits” such as bean pods, corn kernels, tomatoes, and wheat grains. WHAT IS THE FRUIT?
  • 5.  Importance of fruits in human diet is well recognized. The fruits are the chief source of vitamins which help in the maintenance of proper health and resistance to diseases.  Most fruits are naturally low in fat, sodium, and calories, None have cholesterol. Fruits are sources of many essential nutrients that are under consumed, including potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin C, and foliate (folic acid).  Diets rich in potassium may help to maintain healthy blood pressure.
