The Academy also benefits tertiary partners by helping them produce career-ready graduates and providing reporting on students' progress. their curriculum and enable candidates to

are qualified to gain full time employment in
the industry. Our bespoke pathway program
prepares those in our Academy for the
rigours of the industry through practical and
theoretical experiences, whilst building their

Event Workforce Group (EWG) is an Australian-

Born out of an opportunity to bridge the gap between motivated tertiary students and
graduates seeking relevant industry experience, and employers struggling to find suitable

After five years of laying a foundation as Australia’s most progressive, bespoke staffing

in our key markets of Australia, USA and the UK – and our strategic plan, anchored by our

EWG Talent is a staffing agency like no other
- uniquely tailored to the events, sport, and
entertainment industry. We provide motivated and
experienced staff (known as ‘Workforcers’) to events
in all shapes and sizes, Australia wide. From staff to
manage brand activations, event operations, ticketing,
hospitality and merchandising crews, through to
our more experienced ‘Hired Gun’ contractors and
full time candidates for ongoing roles. With over
20,000 Workforcers nationwide, our ability to provide
not only the number of staff needed but the skill
sets and experience necessary to get the job done,

event workforce management software products,
designed to assist with registration, online training
and rostering for large scale events. Active globally,
EWG Technology provides major event clients, and
their staff and volunteers alike, with a bespoke online
resourcing platform, known as ‘Rosterfy’, which is
revolutionising the scheduling of mass participation
in events. To date, clients include upcoming 2018
Minnesota Super Bowl, Tough Mudder Globally, the
World Masters Games and both the Rugby League
and Netball World Cups here in Australia. We look

Whilst the Academy has proven to be a critical
step in the pathway of emerging talent in the
industry, it also serves as an integral avenue
for tertiary institutions seeking to produce and
transition students into successful industry
careers.
For Academy members, known as Workforcers, access to a central portal that is constantly
replenished with shift and training opportunities, allows them to supplement their studies
with ‘job ready’ skills and experience.
At the Academy we have the ability to report back to all tertiary institutions partners on
the progress of their students, capturing all of their achievements: from qualifications, to
hours worked, to skill sets gained and more.
For the past six years we have worked closely with over 200
tertiary institutes to bring the EWG Academy opportunity
to thousands of students, bridging the experience and
opportunity gap between tertiary study and full time industry
roles - with meaningful, enriching casual work that provides
genuine momentum and progress for careers. A pathway
program of milestones prepares those in our Academy like
no other industry body, for full time placement.
