2. The triple beam balance is used in taking the mass of an object. It is a way of getting
an accurate measurement.
3. The weight in the rear measure 60 grams the middle measures 100 grams and the
front measures 4.4 grams therefore the beads weights 164.4 grams.
4. This balance is used in many science classes which includes Physics, Chemistry and
other classes that includes measurements.
5. This part of the balance is where the object being weight is placed. It does not move
and neither does the object.
6. The triple beam balance was invented by Friedrich Ludwig Jahn.
7. There is a zero line on the right side of the balance, when the handle lines up with the
zero line that means the object being measured is balanced. If it is above or below the
line the object is not balanced.
8. The triple beam balance is still used today in many high schools and colleges across the globe.
