2. Real life applications of ISTE for Teachers and Learners
ISTE Standards for Teachers Real life Practices
1. understanding of technology
operations and concepts
As a math teacher, I have only limited knowledge about technology but it is needed specially nowadays, with that I research
and I do self learning to understand it and I do practice in my laptop.
2. utilize technology to plan and design
effective learning environment and
experiences
I often do this in my online presentation in my online class and it is a big help to me. I do utilize Microsoft Office and online
platforms.
3. implementing curriculum plan to
maximize student learning with
technology
In regard with this, we have already in our senior high school which is ICT and we are improving our learning to this matter
and we do maximize it by doing hands on before pandemic and giving activities to our learners.
4. use of technology for effective
assessment
I find it really effective and convenient, technology is very useful. I do use Quizizz as an alternative homework practices and
G Suite or my students.
5. use technology to improve personal
productivity and professional growth
Yes it is indeed improved myself productivity given with my workloads, technology lessen my hassle specially in
communicating with my students with the use of social media, I can reach and communicate to them easily. Same also to my
colleagues and in my meetings, it enables me to have more strategies in planning and time management

This is applied specially when I do give my students materials for our lessons. All of them can access and receive it equally
by means of communicating and distributing it to them through online platforms. We do diverse technology in our lives
specially when pandemic came. First it was difficult but as time goes by, we adjust and find it more efficient and useful.

creative thinking
I do usually do this in their projects, like doing a video presentation in a certain topic
but I give it to them by group so that their creativeness and ideas will make as one to
have a better result.

individual and collaborative learning
Yes, we do practice this in my class. With the use of online platforms like social
medias. For an instance, we do have a group chat intended only for my subject.

organize, analyze, evaluate, synthesize and
ethically use information from variety of
sources.
This is really one of the huge impact and help of technology in learning and in
education. Google is one of the sources that me and my student use and most of us
generally.
4. use of technology tools to promote critical
thinking skills and solve problems
I usually do this in my online class by giving them reflective activities, like a role play
and brain storming sessions or during discussions and doing small group activities.

become good digital citizens
In my class, I keep on reminding my students to be mindful on what they post and
share online specially in their social media.

and utilize it in their own to learn better
Yes I do this, I encourages my students by informing them about an applications that
can help them on how to solve several mathematical problems like
Mathway,Photomath or Malmath and many more.

1. Multimedia Learning It is a learning through the use of pictures and words like PowerPoint
presentations, watching a pre-recorded lecture, etc.
2. E-learning A learning system based on formalized teaching but with the help of electronic
resources.
3. Informatiion and communication Tecnologyg(ICT) It refers to all communication technologies, including the internet, wireless
networks, cell phones, computers, software, middleware, video conferencing
and other media applications and services.
4. Virtual Learning Environment It is a design space for learning and teaching online like distance learning,
instructional videos, etc.
5.Computer-assisted Instructions (CAI) Interactive instructional technique whereby a computer is used to present the
instructional material and monitor the learning that takes place. It uses a
combination of text, graphics, sound and video in enhancing the learning
process.
