the teachers apply the ISTE as a teacher in his/ her teaching practices?
ISTE Standards for
Teachers
Real life Practices Remarks/ Insights
1. understanding of
technology operations
and concepts
Everyone is now relying into online
classes platforms especially to the
applications that the students and
teachers will use as their working
tool to accomplished their
requirements into their school
purposes.
It is helpful in making the teaching process
objective, easy, clear, interesting and scientific. It is a
continuous dynamic technology. It is an important
medium of communication. A desired change is
possible in the behavior of teachers and students.
2. utilize technology to
plan and design effective
learning environment
and experiences
One of the most universally
accessible (and free) reliable method
is Google forms.
One of the best ways to engage all students in the
classroom is to give students an easy way to ask
questions, receive feedback, or otherwise reach out
to the teacher.
3. implementing
curriculum plan to
maximize student
learning with technology
Integrating simple technologies
Power Points, games, internet
homework assignments, or online
grading systems can be difference
makers in students' growth in the
classroom
The use of technology during whole-class instruction
can foster student engagement for auditory and
visual learners.
ISTE Standards

Real life Practices Remarks/ Insights
4. use of technology for
effective assessment
Research and development should be conducted that
explores how embedded assessment technologies such as
simulations, collaboration environments, virtual worlds,
games, and cognitive tutors can be used to engage and
motivate learners while assessing complex skills.
Technology can help teachers track and assess their
students' as well as their own performance in the
classroom; tracking student progress over time.
5. use technology to
improve personal
productivity and
professional growth
Video conferencing apps like Zoom and Google
Meet make it easier to host interactive virtual meetings
and stay productive.
By using technology tools, we can build an online
profile that showcases their expertise and broader
skill set. They can expand on areas they are
interested in, requesting stretch goals during the
performance review process or during their regular
conversations
6. use technology to
support student learning
frm diverse background,
affirm diversity, promote
safe and healthy use and
equal access of
technology resource
Assist learners in summarizing copyright laws related to
use of images, music, video, and other digital resources in
varying formats. Develop strategies and provide
professional development at the school/classroom level
for teaching social, ethical, and legal issues and
responsible use of technology.
Using technology allows educators to refine
teaching strategies and learning processes, and to
be more inclusive of all types of learning styles.
Technology effectively shrinks the world by sharing
knowledge and experiences. This is easily observed
in the multicultural and multilingual classroom
represented today.
What are your impressions, suggestions (with basis), comments, and etc. to how the
teachers apply the ISTE for his/her learners?
ISTE Standards for Learners Real life Practices Remarks/ Insights
1. encourage learners to use
technology with creative thinking
Students now use online
platforms for classes and
studying.
With the use of online
platforms, students are now
know how to utilize the
platform.
2. enable students to use
technology to communicate and
collaborate for effective individual
and collaborative learning
Students use communication
platforms like Messenger,
Google Classroom and more.
With these, they can
communicate with their class
anywhere, anytime and in
accordance to their pace.
3. use of technology for students
to locate, organize, analyze,
evaluate, synthesize and ethically
use information from variety of
sources.
Through the use of technology,
students learned to be more
resourceful.
Students now use online
videos, articles, blog post and
more as their reference
compared to before wherein
most only rely on books.
ISTE Standards for Learners Real life Practices Remarks/ Insights
4. use of technology tools to
promote critical thinking skills
and solve problems
Students’ critical thinking are
also improved by using
technology by analysing which
references are relevant and
how to identify facts.
With this, students would
usually visit sites that have
reliable information like
Wikipedia for them to use.
5. use technology to enable
students to become good digital
citizens
Technology opened the doors to
students to become more tech
savvy and to explore what the
digital world has to offer.
This made them explore and
use graphic designing tools,
video editing tools and more.
6. allow students to learn new
technologies and utilize it in their
own to learn better
Technology allows students
learn better by just navigating
the internet and the platforms
used.
Students now download mobile
Apps like Grammarly and other
platforms that help them more in
their studies.
Based on the response of the teacher, what domain of educational technology (Stoic,
2015) is shown? In which situation/ practices?
Domains of Educational
Technology (Stoic, 2015 in
Bilbao, et.al. 2019)
Teaching & Learning Practices
Exemplified
Remarks/ Insights
A. Technology as Tutor
Technology can support the teacher to teach
another person or technology, and when
programmed by the teacher it can be a tutor on it's
own.
Teacher can use platforms in recording his or
her class for students to use as reference.
B. Technology as a Teaching Tool
Technology is a teaching tool but can never replaced
a teacher. Technology is used to facilitate and lighten
the works of a teacher. It is good that a teacher can
also create or develop technological tools that are
needed in the classroom.
Technology is just a tool. To learn, teacher and
student participation is still vital.
C. Technology as a Learning Tool
Technology is an effective tool for learning because it
makes learning easy and effective. It can produced
learning outcomes that call for technology- assisted
teaching. As a learning tool, it's very interesting that
even the elderly use these tools for learning for life.
Teachers can also use digital references like
videos, articles and blogs in giving lessons or
additional materials to the students.
Based on the response of the teacher, In which situation/ practices shows Role of
Technology for Teaching and Teaching?
Role of Technology for
Teaching and Teaching

effective practices and ISTE
standards for improvements
A. Support to Facilitate
Learning
It transforms a passive classroom to an
active and interactive one, with audio-visual
aids and models, smart classrooms,
e-learning classrooms which motivate and
increase attention level of learners. Many of
these can be searched on the web.
Example of that is when using
Jamboard. Students are able to
answer interactively by
scribbling and answering there
real-time.
B. Modernize Learning
Environment
The teachers are assisted and supplemented
with appropriately structured instructional
materials for daily activities. There are varied
available technology-driven resources which
can be utilized for remedial lesson or
activities
These are applied when we do
a virtual class like having a
class through MS Teams,
Zoom, Google Meet and more.
C. Improves way of
teaching (strategies and
techniques)
This will make the act of teaching more
efficient and effective. There arrays of
teaching methods and strategies that can
use technology which are found compatible
with learning styles.
Teaching is made more efficient
and effective especially right
now that the education system
are going towards OBE.

D. Opens new field in
educational researches
Through the introduction of a new virtual
education, a great number of researches are
being conducted right now to help improve
our new methods.
These are done by both
education experts, software
developers and other experts.
E. inculcate scientific
outlook
Through the utilization of theories of learning
and intelligence, which are explained in
references uploaded in the net, the teachers
are encouraged to imbibe skills to source
these information with speed and accuracy.
Technology adds to the
competence of teachers and
inculcates scientific outlook
making both more resourceful
and analytic.
F. Professional
development
With the demand of continuing professional
development for teachers, the availability of
technology provides alternative way of
attending professional development online.
Teachers & other professionals
can level up or enhance their
delivery systems with the
support of technology tools.
Based on the response of the teacher, In which situation/ practices shows Role of
Technology for Learners and Learning?

Teaching & Learning Practices
Exemplified
Simulate situations promoting
effective practices and ISTE
standards for improvements
A. allow independent
learning
Support learners to learn how to learn on
their own and with their pace.
All teachers fully understand that subject
matter or content is a means to achieve the
learning outcomes. This is done by just giving
the students the materials, notes/links and
more.
B. enhances learner's
communication through
social interactions
This enhances students' freedom to express
and exchange ideas freely without the
snooping eyes of the teacher face to face.
Also enhances learners to construct meaning
from joint experiences between the two or
more participants in communication.
This is done by again using interactive digital
platforms that promotes good relationship,
better communication and more.
B.1. Communication
Patterns used?
Communication patterns are point to point
two-way or one-to-one, One-to-many and
Many-to-many like group discussion.
This is commonly described as the transmittal
of information from one person to another as
single individual or groups of individuals. Like
using of social media platforms in
announcements and reminders.

C. Upgrades HOTs Technology upgrades learners'
higher-order-thinking skills: critical
thinking, problem solving and creativity
Like we use OBE as our system, students
would strive more in learning and being
resourceful. This way, they make us of all the
platforms available online to help them with
their classes.
C.1. Critical Thinking With the use of technology, one will be
able to evaluate the credibility of source,
ask appropriately questions, become
open minded, defend a position on an
issue and draw conclusion with caution.
This allows students analyze data by looking
into facts and reliable sources by looking into
news, blog posts and more.
C.2.Creativity To be creative, one can use any of the
SCAMPER strategies
To do these, the teacher should see to it that
right questions are asked, student's tasks
should be appropriate to the levels of
challenge and curiosity is encouraged.
Give sufficient and honest appreciation for each of the Team contribution for the completion of
