I am a New Zealand citizen born 24 February 1987 in Napier Hospital, Napier New Zealand. I am

Worked for Swire Pacific Offshore since February 2014 in the role of 2nd Engineer / Electrician. I
have worked aboard an anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTS), a platform supply vessel (PSV)
and accommodation barges, maintaining everything from power generation to end user equipment,
navigation equipment, control systems, diesel engines, water making, sewage treatment, Hydraulic
systems and AC refrigeration plants.
Sep 2013 – Feb 2014
Worked for Programmed Total Marine Services aboard an AHTS ship as a 2nd Engineer /
Electrician.

Jan 2014 – Feb 2014
At Tidewater Marine Services, I was working on PSV’s as a Electro Technical Officer where I got
a lot of experience with Konigsberg dynamic positioning (DP) systems and electric propulsion
2. systems ABB frequency drives. I was maintaining all the navigation equipment and
installed/commissioned a Sat TV system on board.
Feb 2013 – Apr 2013
Worked with OMS (Kan Tan IV) NZ on board a semi-sub drill rig as the night Electrician.
I gained experience with NOV drilling equipment and SCR systems..
Jan 2005 – Jul 2012
Employed by the Royal New Zealand Navy as a marine technician (Electrical) and served on a
number of different vessels.
My last posting was the HMNZS Otago a 2,342 GRT Diesel Offshore patrol vessel as head
electrician and a propulsion plant watch keeper.
Some of my responsibilities include the repair and maintenance of the platform management
system, propulsion control and power management systems, switchboards general power and
lighting services and much more.
During my time in the Navy I have been continually training and improving myself with approx. ¾ of
my time spent at sea.
Since leaving the Navy in 2012, I have been working on and off doing temporary work with the
RNZNVR in the same position that I held when I was in full time.
Education
I left school at the end of 2004 with University Entrance, Level 6 NCEA with high achievement in
Maths, Science, Physics
Since leaving school my training has been in conjunction with the Navy and through this I have
completed many parts towards many qualifications and have attended university in 2012.

4. Awards
In 2012, I was awarded a Commanding Officer’s Commendation for my efforts on board; some
things that got a mention were my well-honed diagnostic skills, fixing and maintaining the ship in
the first years of service and for passing on the knowledge and experience gained from overseeing
the build of the two vessels through the training of my subordinates.

I would like to complete my STCW III/2 COC within the next 18 months
