I am a Merchant Navy Deck Officer with a British CoC. Having originally graduated with
honours with a degree in Shipping Operations, I later undertook my cadetship from Glasgow
Nautical Campus. Having gained plenty of practical deckhand skills and experience ashore, I
am awell-rounded and hardworking professional.

I worked as part of a multinational crew, with experience on board container and bulk carrier
vessels operating worldwide. I took the opportunity several times to take charge of mooring
stations and emergency drills in addition to assisting the Master on the bridge during Panama
Canal Transits/Port manoeuvring. I also have experience in duties such as Passage Planning,
documentation and maintenance of equipment.

Interests
I like keeping fit and am an active member of Cross-fit gym often attending 3 times a week.
I am involved with the local RNLI as a Sea safety advisor. I enjoy sailing and own a flying
fifteen, I regularly participate in providing safetyboat cover for organised sailing events. I
enjoy running a few RYA powerboat courses every year at the local yacht club, these are well
attended.
