Kent Sundberg (B. Sc. Marine Engineering / Class M1 Chief Engineer)
Curriculum Vitae
I have been working onboard and with ships and ship equipment all since I started as
deck- and engine apprentice in 1980 until the present day.
I studied marine engineering at the university in Kalmar-Sweden between 1986 and
1990. I got my first job as 2nd Engineer in 1988, as 1st
Engineer in 1990 and as Chief
Engineer in 1996 with an unlimited Class 1 Chief Engineer license (STCW III/2, VI/I).
I have a solid technical background and experience. Apart from having had a long
seagoing career onboard different ship types, I have gained valuable experience working
ashore in various companies as Superintendent, Project Manager, Project- and Service
Engineer. If asking colleagues and co-workers I think they see me as an honest, loyal and
a responsible person.
I am married and have three children at the ages 6, 11 and 14 years old. I dedicate my
time off work for my family, for sports and outdoor activities.
I am interested in a Chief- or Senior Engineer position at sea with preference on
offshore ships, shuttle-, crude oil- and product tankers, and cruise ships. I will appreciate
to receive and I will consider job offers for other ship types and for other suitable job
positions both at sea and ashore.
