XP-Endo files are three instruments for cleaning and shaping of the canals whatever the shape of the canals when compare with other standard Niti instruments they impose the original shape of the canal and reach area that impossible to reach by other instruments

4. The mechanical objective of cleaning and
shaping
The objective given by Schilder are:-
 The root canal preparation should develop a continuously tapering
cone
 Making the preparation in multiple plane which introduce the concept
of flow
 Making the canal narrower apically and widest coronally

5.  Avoid transportation of the foramen
 Keep the apical opening as small as possible

6. The complexity of root canal system
The root canal system is highly complex it can be oval or C-shaped
The canals sometimes divide or an isthmus may connect the canals

7.  In the face of such complexity , standard NiTi files are not always up to the task .
Despite their flexibility , the files make round shapes only and thus cannot reach
certain parts of the canal during treatment

8. Recent studies have shown that 30% - 50% of the canal wall surface area may
remain untouched after instrumentation and covered with biofilms that have the
potential to put the treatment outcome at risk
To overcome these problems , new instrument and strategies have been proposed
to obtain a more cleaning and disinfection

16.  Booster tip:- It has six cutting blades for the optimum file guidance in
the canal , the minimum diameter of the tip corresponds to an ISO # 15
reaching the maximum diameter of #30

17. It has the ability to start shaping at ISO diameter 15 and to achieve ISO diameter
30 , but also to increase the taper from 0.01 to at least 0.04 it allow to reach a
final canal preparation of a minimum 30/0.04 and this only with one instrument

without occluding the dentinal tubules

The XP-endo finisher is unique instrument with a larger reach than the shaper this
enable it to touch and scrap area that exceed the reach of the shaper . Additionally
it will not cut the dentin but rather scrap the walls, thus not changing the original
shape of the canal

XP-Endo file is a flexible file and can expand it reach 6mm in diameter or 100 fold
of an equivalent sized file
This is why XP-endo finisher allows mechanical cleaning of the canal in area
previously impossible to reach

 XP-Endo finisher should be used only after canal preparation to at least #25
 In multi rooted teeth , start with largest canal
 Work along the entire length of the canal for approximately one minute
 The access cavity should be filled with irrigant only
 Speed 800 rpm ( 800-1000rpm) Torque 1Ncm

The XP-Endo finisher R has a core diameter larger than the XP endo finisher ,
making it slightly stiffer and also more efficient in removing root filling materials
adhering to the canals walls especially in the curvature and the oval areas

36. Conclusion
The XP-endo files both are able to treat root canals with highly complex
morphologies from the narrowest to the largest , and from the straightest to the
most severely curved canals . Because of their small core size – ISO 25 or ISO 30
in diameter and their zero taper the file benefit from incredible flexibility and
show resistance to cyclic fatigue. In addition the files will contact and scrap the
dentine surface or root filling material without changing the original shape of the
canal
