Budget of kumbh around , three times
than earlier has been announced for
“KUMBH 2019” by UP Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath i.e. about 4200 crore
and its is spread in area of 3200 hectare
twice of the area covered in earlier
kumbh.
UP government is expecting to have the
profit of about 1.2 lakh crore from kumbh
2019.
ShriYogiAdityanath
In Prayagraj, hearing the word “Kumbh”, creates the
picturesque vision of Triveni sangam in one’s mind. At
the sacred confluence of rivers, huge multitudes filled
with sense of devotion move like waves in the ocean.
‘Shahi Snaan’ of Akharas, chanting of vedic mantras
and elucidations of religious hymns in the Pandaals,
proclamations of knowledge, Tatvamimansa by rishis,
spiritual music, mesmerising sounds of instruments,
holy dip in the sangam with utmost devotion fills the
heart of devotees with immense joy. Also, prayers are
offered at many divine temples exhibiting the
greatness of Prayagraj Kumbh.
The Kumbh Mela at Prayag is very different as
compared to Kumbh at other places due to
many reasons.
Reasons Why Prayag Kumbh Is Different..
 Firstly, the tradition of long-term Kalpvas is practised only
in Prayag.
 Secondly, the Triveni Sangam is considered as the centre
of the earth in few scriptures.
 Thirdly, Lord Brahma performed the Yajna here for
creating the universe.
 Fourthly, Prayagraj is called the shrine of pilgrimages, but
the most important reason is that the significance of
performing rituals and tapas at Prayagraj is of highest
among all pilgrimages and provides one with the highest
virtue.
It is believed that an individual who takes the holy dip
in the sacred waters relieves his/her ten generations
from the cycle of rebirth, and hence, achieving
salvation. Moreover, it is said that just by providing
services to pilgrims at Prayag during Kumbh will help
an individual to gain redemption from temptation.
Prayag is visited by tens of millions of pilgrims
because these beliefs. Saints, ascetics and their
followers pay their respect and perform various
traditional rituals at Triveni sangam. The amazed
devotees line up to watch the rituals being performed.
The Kumbh Mela at Prayag takes place for
approximately 55 days, spread over thousands of
hectares around the sangam area, and becomes the
greatest of ephemeral city in the world. Regularity of
this celebration continuing since ancient times is
unique in itself. Ever increasing pressure of populace
and expanding cities tend to engulf the rivers and
events like Kumbh, graces the rivers with the profound
status of creators of the world. There is a deeply
enrooted feeling of devotion and faith flowing in the
veins of every Indian since eternity.
GOVERNMENT PRACTICE FOR KUMBH 2019
The government made provisions for providing basic amenities to the pilgrims.
The government upon realising the importance of Kumbh and understanding
the requirements of huge number of pilgrims visiting the mela took multiple
steps in public interest in order to facilitate the pilgrims. Importance was given
towards providing security services, better traffic management, lighting and
health facilities and ensuring the same. It is difficult to say who took
responsibility for these amenities before government made provisions for the
same. However, after passing the law, the responsibility of providing the basic
facilities lies with the government.
On the same lines, formation of Prayagraj Mela Authority 2018 is an important
stepping-stone towards organising the event of the scale of Kumbh. The
formation of Prayagraj Mela Authority will ensure that the basic amenities are
provided in Kumbh 2019 to the devotees visiting the Mela. For the Kumbh
2019, modern technologies are being deployed to enhance the ‘Divyata’ and
‘Bhavyata’ of the Kumbh. Gates based on various themes will welcome
pilgrims and information boards will guide them to their destination. Huge
pandals and tents will facilitate the stay of pilgrims and visitors. Various lighting
arrangements have been made on the banks including façade lighting that will
engulf the pilgrims in diverse colours. Also, different cuisines and gourmet food
in the food courts shall satisfy the appetite of the pilgrims and they could
completely enjoy the beauty.

The Union tourism ministry has
developed a designated area to

ROLE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY IN KUMBH
In present scenario the usage of technology is at
its boom everywhere we can see the use of
technology around us and the very vast
organisation of kumbh also made the massive use
of technology due to which , technical industry
has earn a lot.
At current everything in prayag is being in control
by technology due to which it has become
possible to provide the proper security to all the
devotees present their.
“Kumbh Mela has became a lab for Tech
industry to study crowd management”.
Scientists and engineers are monitoring
information from GPS trackers and wearable
devices and develop a system that will help
manage and provide early warning if a disaster is
impending.
Use of AI has been done by UP Police to manage the
crowd.
By leveraging AI, security personnel
working with Integrated Command
and Control Centre are able to see
visuals thereby track the crowd
movement, assess crowd size and look
out for any suspicious activities.
“This is the first time that Artificial
Intelligence (AI) has been used in
Kumbh Mela. Over 1,000 CCTV
cameras has been used to monitor
various movements across the Mela
area spread across 3,200 hectares,”
The feature of the Technology provided by the IBM are as follows:-
 It has the advance feature of capturing the data from the
videos.
 It can be directed to add the list of criminals and VIP to
capture them in crowd.
 As per the age, skin color, hair color, and clothes color and
gender any person can be recognised.
 If any person or thing is moving out of the pattern designed
then hey can be captured easily through the alarm alert in the
cameras.
 It can change the video-image in data due to which video
monitoring would become easy.
Due to Kumbh there is massive growth in
the bussiness economy of industrialist.
There are different industry that are
attracted by it are as :-
Lodging:-
For the stay of people all around the
worlds as visitor ,their has been managed
proper facility of their stay as it has been
shown by the “TENT CITY” as an
outcome.
It furthur has many categorisation as per
their cost division as-

hygeine as their has been
made the organisation of food
court with eco-friendly utensils.

Food Hub
Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is
celebrated every year in India on
9 January. The day also
commemorates return of father of
nation Mahatma Gandhi from
South Africa in Mumbai (then
Bombay) on January 9, 1915. The
day is celebrated to mark
contribution of overseas Indian
community to the development of
India.
The day was formally established
in 2003.
Website Launch for PBD
The 15th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas was held in Prime
Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency Varanasi in January. The
Indian diaspora attending the event got an opportunity to participate
in the ‘Kumbh Snan’ and attended the Republic Day parade. The
announcement was made by the External Affairs Minister Sushma
Swaraj and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath jointly at
launch of a dedicated website for the event from January 21-23.
Yogi Adityanath Sushma Swaraj
The beginning of the event of 15th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas at
22nd January was done by the inauguration by Prime
Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Guest Mauritian
Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.
Shri Narendra Modi Mr. Pravind Jugnauth
The government is touting the event as the first of its kind
as the participants will witness the cultural heritage of
Varanasi and of Allahabad during the Kumbh Mela. The
theme of PBD 2019 is the “Role of Indian Diaspora in
building a New India”.
Arrangements for the Kumbh Snan (holy bath) will be made
at the sangam for the participants.
The basic reason behind this theme was to let the people
know, who went to other country to come India and meet
with their rich culture and tradition.
For the first time ever such an International Event like “Pravasi
Bhartiya Divas” was conducted in the city of banks of river
‘Ganga’.
It was held at Bada Lalpur at Trade Facility Center.
It was like the dream of organising the PBD in Varanasi came to
true at 21st Janury. On Monday people all across the world from
122 countries came to India to be the part of Pravashi Bhartiya
Divas 2019.They were welcomed with grand arrangement.
The tourist all across the world accepted that ther had been a
fast groth in varanasi in very few time.
For the PBD PM Narendra Modi has self invited people all
across the world.and he joined this celebration on 22nd January.
Due to the PBD peple also visited to Allahabad ,due to which
there was a large profit gained by the UP Toursim, and at same
time they get introduced with the culture and tradition of Kumbh.
 On the invitation given by PM Narendra Modi people all
across the world visited varanasi at Pravashi Bhartiya
Divas on 21st January.
 The NRI living outside in other country, who once been the
part of India get a chance to meet with the culture and
tradition.
 CM Yogi, talked to NRI youth that at present they had
proved themselves in all ways with their working, and he
too encouragd them, and made them realise them the
importance of Indian Culture and the Pravashi Bhartiya
Diwas.
 As from always the Pravashi Bhartiya Divas it was
celebrated to at 9th of January but this year the
Government of India had taken a big step by making
change in the date of PBD.
 The reason was proved to be beneficial for both the
tourist and economy of India tourism.
 As due to change in date people who came for PBD
also got the chance to see the Republic Day Parade
and Kumbh in Allahabad.
 The significance step taken by GOI and followed by
NRI seems to be at its success.
