Why we keep pets at home
Pets are great companions for kids and adults.
 Pets help you remain fit and healthy.
 Pets are playful beings in the house as they keep everyone, young
and old, happy in the house.
 Pets help you exercise spending time chasing your cat or taking the
dog out for long walks through the woods or in parks can also be
great forms of exercising.
 Dog at home is especially good because they also double up as
caretakers and keep home safe from thieves.
Dog is man’s best friend and the most common pet around the
world.
 Dogs vary widely in shape, size and colours.
 Dogs perform many roles for people such as hunting, herding, pulling loads,
protection, assisting police and military.

Dogs like variety of foods,
 Dogs love to have cooked meat or raw meat, ground bone.
 They also like vegetables and grains, and can consume a large proportion of
these in their diet, however.

 Household items including chocolate solids, onion, garlic, grapes are toxic to dogs
not be fed.

A cat is small furry animal and second most popular pet.
 Cat fur protects the skin from sun, cold, scratches, and insect bites.
 Cat has different color eyes dark black, brown, blue.
 They have good night vision.

Cats readily take cooked food
 They love to eat fresh meat from rodents, rabbits, amphibians, birds, reptiles
and fish.
 Other food is Oatmeal porridge and milk, or white bread steeped in warm
milk, with little sugar added, are both good breakfasts for cats.
Parrot is a bird with more than 300 species around the world.
 Many parrots are vividly coloured, and some are multi-coloured. It has various colors
such as red, green, yellow and blue.
 Its feathers are bright and shiny.
 It has strong, curved beak , an upright stance, strong legs, and clawed feet.
 Parrots are intelligent and able to mimic human speech , also some species
of parrots such as the kea are highly skilled at using tools and solving puzzles.

Parrot food consist of seeds, fruit, nectar, buds, and other animal prey.
Rabbits are small animals with long ears, short tails with fur.
 They have two pairs of sharp incisors (front teeth), one pair on top and one pair on
the bottom.
 It leaves in underground burrows or rabbit holes.
 Rabbits often sleep with their eyes open so sudden movements will wake the rabbit
and alert it to dangers.
 Rabbits fur is with colors such as shades of brown, grey and white.

Rabbits need a special diet because their teeth never stop growing.
 Rabbits feed by grazing on grass and leafy weeds.
 They also eat enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables.

A fish is animals that lives in water.
 Fish vary in color and size.
 People like to have fish as pets. There are special aquariums and food you can
get to take care of your fish.
 Dolphins are often regarded as one of Earth's most intelligent animals.
 Some fish eat plant life which live in sea and ocean.
 Some fish, prey on other fish and animals.
 Dry foods are available as pellets, sticks, tablets, granules, and wafers are used to feed
fish at home in aquariums.
Goats are the common and mostly raised domestic or
farm animals.
 Goats are with different coat colors, including brown, tan red, black and white.
 Goats have tails that point upwards.
 Farmers herd wild goats primarily for milk and meat, as well as to their dung
which was used as fuel.

 These grazing creatures consume a lot of grass -- both dry and fresh, whether from shrubs,
trees or bushes.
 Corn, rye, oats, barley are known as cereal grains that provide Carbons or energy.
 Orange peels, banana peels, Garlic skins, tomato ends, etc that means all kinds
of vegetable and fruits cuttings are also good source of food for goats.

 Australian Cattle Dog - This dog is a herding dog medium-sized, short-coated dog that occurs in
two main color forms. It has either brown or black hair distributed fairly evenly through a white coat.

 Maltese cross Poodle - They have teddy bear-like outlook, Poodles are intelligent, loving
and loyal dogs which come in different sizes.
 Golden Retriever: Goldies are trained to retrieve ducks for hunters in the past,
they are large in size, and are actually humans and dogs friendly.

British Short Hair - Is described as a sturdy, medium to large sized cat with
huge expressive eyes.

Parrots - There are 8 species in Singapore - 3 native, 5 introduced.

Why we keep pets at home Pets are great companions for kids and adults.  Pets help you remain fit and healthy.  Pets are playful beings in the house as they keep everyone, young and old, happy in the house.  Pets help you exercise spending time chasing your cat or taking the dog out for long walks through the woods or in parks can also be great forms of exercising.  Dog at home is especially good because they also double up as caretakers and keep home safe from thieves.

  • 9. Parrot is a bird with more than 300 species around the world.  Many parrots are vividly coloured, and some are multi-coloured. It has various colors such as red, green, yellow and blue.  Its feathers are bright and shiny.  It has strong, curved beak , an upright stance, strong legs, and clawed feet.  Parrots are intelligent and able to mimic human speech , also some species of parrots such as the kea are highly skilled at using tools and solving puzzles.
