Education is
manifestation of
perfection in already
a man – Swami
Vivekananda
5. Session
Requesting him to sing any song of
Tagore;
He selected “Jadi tare nai chini go se ki
amay nebe chine ei naba falguner
dine---- jani ne, jani ne”.
I asked if your book asked you the
same what would be your answer ?
He: Jani ne (I do not know)….after
brooding…he said that from today I
would study the lesson to understand it.
Termination: Client is able to
understand how to be complete.
Questions:
1.Why is the answer – jani ne ?
2.Is client’s consciousness merged
with the text ?
3.Does Rabindrasangeet provide
auto suggestion ?
4.If auto suggestion is there then
who suggests ? and why is he
silent ?
13. MURTA, RAAG, SARASWAT
Q: What is this ?
A1: This is a white object
(Murta : sensation
centered)
A2: This is a white beautiful
flower (Raag: affect
centred
A3: This is light (Saraswat:
totality and
creative/innovative)
14. DISEQUILIBRIUM STAGE OF CONSCIOUSNESS
After learning the flower
as white, individual
still asks the question
as what is this ? or is
it white ?
After considering the
flower as light,
individual asks the
question – is it light ?
17. When consciousness is at Murta
layer (outer layer)
Student follows surface level study strategy.
Surface level study strategy : Reading by heart or
cramming.
Student characteristics: Low intelligence.
Teaching strategy: Teaching by question answer
mode. Questions should be limited to what?
where and when?
18. When consciousness lies at
Raag layer
Student characteristics : Fear of failure, in-
attentive to study, emotionally unstable,
complaining, thinking of non-lesson related
issue specially the interpersonal relationship.
Teaching strategy : Use performing art in
teaching. Performing art means story telling,
drawing, song, music, dance, drama.
Avoid beating or punishing students.
19. When consciousness lies at
Saraswat layer
Student characteristics : Inquisitiveness, asking questions,
experimenting the lessons, customizing lessons. Student follows
deep study strategy.
Teaching strategy : Project based teaching, constructivism in
teaching pedagogy, create ambiguity in assignment and study
his/her solution. Teacher acts as facilitator. Student will be active
more than teacher.
Disadvantage: Student may be over confident and distraction from
the text. This may lead poor academic performance. So teaching
strategy will be deep-achieving. Here achieving means mastery
over the lesson and arranging lesson orderly in reporting.
