2. This tripod was a
crucial part of
filming day as it
helped to stabilise
the camera so that
our footage did not
look hand held
which would make
our filming look a
bit amateur rather
than professional,
which was the
effect that we
wanted. I also
learnt that we
could use the tripod
and adjust the legs
so that we could get
different heights as
well as different
angles.
We also used this Sony camera which was
a HD camera in order to film our scenes
and make them look clear and visible so
that the it looked professional. We also
learnt that we could use the touch focus to
hone in on specific parts while filming
which came handy on filming day
We didn’t use the Iphone
that much throughout the
day although we did use
when we needed to take
pictures for our journals
to put on our progress
update so we knew what
we were doing at specific
time of the day
3. Using final cut
This editing area was one of the most
important features of final cut pro. It
was needed so that we could edit our
footage and help us keep continuity as
we could alter different aspects of a
clip in this are of the screen
The effects and
told bar was also
important
because this is
where we were
able to add
transitions onto
our footage and
add effects and
filters . From
here we could
also add sound
effects on clips to
enhance certain
areas
The play back screen is where we could
see the footage once we edited on a
bigger screen, this helped us to focus
more on specific scenes to see if the
continuity was okay as it was much
bigger for us to see on this larger screen.
This is the area that we could see all our clips once
we had downloaded from the camera to the Mac.
We had a lot of footage at the start so a feature
which came into play was the option of favouriting
our footage. This allowed us to stay focused on the
editing process rather than continuously going
back to the footage and looking for the clips we
thought were the best from the start of the editing
process
4. Prezi and Slide share are two of the
most effective ways, I find, to present
some of my work throughout the
process of this coursework. Prezi
allowed me to engage more in the
work as it is more interactive and
alternative. It gives the reader a more
viewing pleasure when focusing more
on my work as there may be a lot of
content throughout the Prezi though
it is broken up and is not all
congested as it could be it I presented
my work in the conventional way of
posting my work straight onto a
journal.
In some ways this is the same for
Slide share though it may be similar
to a power point presentation it gives
me more variety of ways in which I
am able to present my work, making
my journal look different throughout
rather than looking bland and boring.
Website I used throughout my work
5. Website I used throughout my work Though I use you tube in every day life, it
became and important aspect of my research
and planning. For example, when looking for
different company Idents that are used in
major films and made by other people you
tube became the place to go to be able to
find most of these resources. Also from you
tube I was able to learn how to annotate my
film in order to complete one of the tasks for
the evaluation. You tube overall was essential
component throughout the filming, editing
and research part of the coursework
Mahara was the most important part of this
project. This is because all my work was saved on
Mahara and I was always able to go in and out of
Mahara to edit work and to look at different
things I had to do for up coming tasks in the
future. Mahara was very new to me and I learnt
many things about it. For example I learnt that I
could not post journals yet if I didn’t want them to
been seen as I hadn’t quite finished them yet. I
also learn that I could embed videos and link my
work on other sites to Mahara if they needed to
be accessed if Mahara was not working properly.
6. Team work
In my group we all worked really well with one another and this
was key for us to create a opening sequence that we were all
proud of. All tasks were delegated fairly and we all took our
roles and did the best we could in them. Working as a team
also helped us to support one another in this project, so if one
of us were finding something difficult someone could step in
and help them. This was so they would not fall behind and
everything could flow smoothly throughout the time that we
worked with one another to produce this opening sequence.
We were also dependant on each other but because we
worked so well with one another their was no problems in the
construction of our film therefore we created a film opening
that we all could be proud of and had contributed to in some
form or another.
