Ricky completed work experience at the Computer Clearance Centre form the beginning to the
end of November. In his time with us he completed a multitude of tasks ranging from workshop
repairs, network management and configuration, configuring servers, maintaining servers,
imaging large quantities of stock and various other tasks.
Some of the character traits which stood out were his ability to adapt to his environment,
rapidly, learn new skills, transfer theoretical knowledge into practical ability, independently
research solutions and techniques to problems and listen carefully to instruction.
Although he had little professional experience in the IT field he grew rapidly in his skills and
within a week was able to work completely unsupervised as a technician in our workshop,
completing virus removals, data recovery, hardware repairs and modifications, windows
reinstallations and software reconfigurations. Ricky helped test our older systems and either
salvaged parts or repaired the systems. He also configured and loaded windows, drivers and
standard software onto our systems for sale. Ricky also helped setup and configure a second
workshop area with a DHCP and DNS server running Windows Server 2012, 8 port switch,
Clonezilla server and workbench areas for several Computers.
Ricky was also well mannered, well dressed, and extremely punctual. In all tasks presented to
him, he completed them with the utmost attentiveness and professionalism.
If we were in a position to offer Ricky employment we would have offered Ricky a position
without hesitation. Therefore I highly recommend Ricky to any potential employer, as he was a
great asset to our company. Regardless of the task he is faced we have full confidence that he
will excel at it.
