No quality of manufacture, excellence of design or sophistication of program
will ever compensate for poor installation.
As members of CEDIA we are obligated to uphold not only the code and ethos
of the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association but also the
engineering and quality standards expected of every member.
This we achieve by regular training, practical workshops and constant peer
review.
We are extremely proud of our workmanship which we consider more of an art
form rather than simple engineering.
19. Program
At the birth of Audio Visual Designs, and for some time thereafter, we addressed
client’s needs by literally designing and building custom electronic circuitry. This we
did to seamlessly integrate all the various elements of the system together. Very often
we had to strip and make modifications to projectors and the like.
As with all things technical, we are now leap-years ahead and all quality equipment is
designed to be controlled and operated by electronic means. This extends from
simply downloading an app for your smartphone to having equipment custom
programmed to your needs.
The fundamentals of those first electronic systems have remained largely the same.
We achieve them at a much higher level, commensurate with the growth in
technology.
Still today – the single most important component is YOU. Technology should serve
its user NEVER the other way round!
How well we achieve this depends on the quality of the programming, configuration
and calibration of the system.
