• You are going to get lots of them
• They make steel harder by putting it in a very high fire and pounding on it
• Thomas Edison tested 10,000 light blubs before one worked
• Rejections, obstacles, the “four letter words” in life,
all make us stronger
• They require us to dig deeper inside ourselves, exercising the gifts, talents,
strengths, wisdom, God gave each of us
• Dealing with these things gives us experience exercising virtues we all need
• Patience, flexibility, creativeness, tenacity, …
• Without obstacles to overcome how do we learn and get better and
stronger and more skilled at serving our Creator’s will?
