Technology comes from a Greek word “techne”, which means
craft or art . Educational Technology ”, means it refers to the art or
craft of responding to educational methods and resources for the
ultimate goal of facilitating the learning process.
Educational Technology is taught in school for the learners to
come up easily in the modern world. In this subject, the students
can learn how they can use technology to have a better
learning. It is one of the best way to integrate learning and
information to ourselves.

The Education Technology 1 has truly paved the way for the
learner to become aware, appreciative and equipped to use
educational technology 1 tools ranging from traditional to modern
educational media.
Using instructional material is an effective way of engaging the
students to the real world situation. Nowadays, the teahers are
discussing their lesson with the use of instructional medias Also,
based on observation, the technology help us to have a better
learning. We can easily understand and receive the information.

laid down by the ET- 1 course, starting with the
through treatment of the history of educational
technology, quality education, and the roles of ET in
the 21th millennium.

Educational technology 2 is concerned with “Integrating
Technology into Teaching and Learning.” Specifically this is focused on
introducing, reinforcing, supplementing and extending the knowledge
and skills to learners so that they can become exemplary users of
educational technology. Mainly directed to student teachers, also
professional teachers who may wish to update their knowledge of
educational technology, it is our goal that this course can help our
target learners to weave technology in teaching with software
(computer programmed learning materials) becoming a natural
extension of their learning tools.

I learned a lot of things after studying Educational Technology 1
and Educational Technology 2. I learned that Educational
Technology is a big help for us, especially us (education students)
future educator, to be acquainted with the different uses of
technology in education.
Educational technology 1 and 2 is concerned with “Integrating
Technology into Teaching and Learning.” Specifically this is focused
on introducing, reinforcing, supplementing and extending the
knowledge and skills to learners so that they can become
exemplary users of educational technology.

There are many reasons why educational technology is very
important. There is a purpose why educational technology is taught in
schools. Because educational technology 1 and 2 wants the student
to know what is the use and how to use the instructional media in
relation to education/teaching
A future educator must know the know the right use of
instructional medias so that the computer will never replace the
teacher. The teacher must be the one who will manipulate the
computer, it is just a material that will help the teacher and the student
to be more connected to one another.

The technology will also help the teacher to easily
give chances to the students that can excel in class by
applying medias/computers in their learning process.
There are instances that student is actively participating
in the class when they are engage in using technology.
In other words, the technology has a big role in the field
of learning.

Technology plays an important role in the study habits and skills of the
students. But, we need to make sure that we are going to be very
careful in allowing our students to use the computer and surf the
internet for them to avoid discovering things that are not part of their
studies. It is always important to let them used some of these
technology in education as often as it is in order to prevent forgetting
the basic way studying.
