Intermedia Partners is a private equity firm focused on media investments with a $1 billion portfolio including magazines like VIBE and Aspire. Distributing the media product through Intermedia could leverage their existing audiences for VIBE and other magazines while also expanding their brand and reach. VIBE itself is an R&B magazine distributed through their website and stores that could benefit from distributing the new media product to recognize their name internationally and give the product global coverage. Billboard publisher Lynne Segall is also discussed as having a large existing market share of 17,000 weekly circulation and 15 million yearly viewers that could exploit the target audience of the new media product and use their experience and capabilities to distribute it successfully.

Intermedia partners are a private equity investment film
focused on leveraged buyout and growth capital
investments in the media sector. The firm was founded in
2005, and owns magazine companies such as VIBE, Aspire
and Channel magazines. The total assets of the company are
$1 billion US dollars. These types of magazine have similar
target audiences as mine and such target audiences could
be exploited through my production. Both my magazine and
the company could benefit from this β mine because of the
audience that magazines such as VIBE and Channel have
established for themselves, but they could benefit in the
sense my magazine is new, and could bring the slightly
different audience as mine is aimed at both genders. This
would mean their fan base and total audience would
increase, and their brand would become even more
influential. Not only this, but Intermedia partners could offer
release across their multi-platform ownership with VIBE
bringing the production even more into the audiences mind.
4. VIBE
VIBE are an American based R&B magazine firm,
under the wing of Intermedia partners. Because this
company is in private equity it means that VIBE have
their own other companies for example WAPA-TV a
radio station which havenβt earnt their success
through media institutions. They distribute their
magazines through their online website which
provides some articles from the magazine. Also the
magazines get distributed to a variety of shops
ranging from corner shops to supermarkets. VIBE
would benefit from distributing my magazine because
it allows them to distribute on another multi-media
platform and encourage those around the world to
recognise the name that VIBE has made for itself over
the years. I could benefit from VIBE distributing my
magazine because it would give me international
coverage.
5. LYNNE SEGALL
LYNNE SEGALL IS MOST POPULARLY KNOWN
FOR BILLBOARD, HAS A HUGE PRESENCE IN
THEIR MARKET OF THE INDUSTRY. STANDING
AT CURRENTLY 17,000 COPIES IN
CIRCULATION WEEKLY, AND OVER 15
MILLION PEOPLE VIEWING THEIR
PUBLICATIONS YEARLY. THIS IS ONE REASON
WHY I THINK IT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL FOR
MY MAGAZINE TO BE PUBLISHED BY THEM
BECAUSE THEY CLEARLY HAVE A HOLD ON
THE MARKET. IN RETURN, LYNNE SEGALL,
WOULD BE ABLE TO EXPLOIT THE TARGET
AUDIENCE THROUGH MY MAGAZINE. THEIR
EXPERIENCE SHOWS THEY HAVE THE
CAPABILITIES TO DO SO, AND MY
PRODUCTION COULD OFFER THEM THE
MEDIA TO DO SO.
