2. ABSTRACT
This project comprised of “PLANNING, ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF
MARRIAGE HALL USING SHELL STRUCTUE” We planned to build an
innovative and luxurious Marriage hall building in the shape of shell.
It is a typical reinforcement concrete framed structure having two floors with
a shell at top of the structure. The building is provide with a facilities like luxurious
rooms, stage, parking facilities.
The main objective, of this project work to master the art of analysis, design
the building using various software’s and manual design.
The Structure has been designed in detail using Limit State method of design
conforming to IS: 456-2000, SP 16, IS 875(I) and (II). The plan was drawn on using
Auto Cad 2013 and the structural elements were designed using Staad Pro 2014
and the sections details have been obtained.
The purpose of our project is to give an experience in the field of design and
applying the design principles and to gain the knowledge in practical way.
3. INTRODUCTION
The planning is made keeping the concept of adequate spacing and maximum
utilization of the plinth area.
Maximum utilization of land area.
High quality building with economical cost.
Adequately spaced rooms, grand look is important. Future expansion can be done.

29. CONCLUSION
The analysis of the marriage hall building was done based on IS CODE method.
The analysis shows that the building is safe enough in holding G+1 building.
The design was made based on limit state design. The calculation were checked
for safety and verified using IS 456:2000, SP: 16 and NBC
The calculation shows that the building is safe. Hence this design project is safe
one.
The structure is designed as an economical one provided with good facilities.
Its multipurpose use i.e. book exhibition and parties
