1. ABSTRACT
This project deals with planning,analysis and design of a
school building with reinforced concrete framed structure
The details of the planning is presented in this report
The rooms and other amenities are provided based on the
guidelines given by NATIONAL BUILDING CODE 2005
This school building consists of 85 class rooms, staff
rooms,6 laboratories and other facilities
The analysis of frame is done by using a software known as
STADD PRO
The design of beams, slabs, columns and footings are done
by Limit State Method (AS Per IS 456: 2000, SP 16:1978,
IS 800:2007)
2. INTRODUCTION
Due to the increasing population the school
buildings are necessary in urban or rural areas for
their future life.
This project consist of three storey building with
required play ground facilities.
Each floor having a plinth area of 2736 sq.m and 25
class rooms.
Each floor having 4 Staircases and 2 Toilet facilities.
The design of slabs, beams, columns, footing and
staircase are done by Limit State Method.

4. ABOUT AUTOCAD
AutoCAD is a CAD software application for
2D and 3D design and drafting.
It is developed and solved by Autodesk, Inc
and was released in December 1982.
AutoCAD is a vector based drawing
application intended for engineering purpose.
Commands can be entered at a command
line or through toolbars and menus.
12. ABOUT STADD PRO ANALYSIS
STADD Pro is one of the most used and basic
software for analysis and design of a structure.
STADD Pro is a general purpose structural analysis
and design program with application primarily in the
building industry.
Ensure on time and on budget completion of steel ,
concrete, timber, aluminum and cold- formed steel
projects.
To provide accurate and economical designs to clients
and quickly turnaround change requests.

36. • The Three storied R.C.C framed structure is designed as a
School building. The rooms and other amenities are
provided on the basis of National Building Code 2005.
• Analysis of the frame is carried out by STADD PRO
software. M2O grade of concrete and Fe415 grade of steel
are used. All structural elements are designed as Under
Reinforced Section.
• The design of Slabs, Beams, Column and Footing were
done. The Beams have been designed by taking Maximum
Bending Moment and from the analysis results.
