CELL ORGANALLES
ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM
• It is the passage in cell.
• Helps in conduction of food
materials in to the cell.
• Also known as cytoskeleton
because it provides shape and
firmness to cell.
MITOCHONDRIA
• Power house of the cell.
• Helps in storage and energy
production.
• Seen in liver, brain, muscles.
RIBOSOMES
• It is the centre for Protein
synthesis.
• Seen either attached with
endoplasmic reticulum or free in
cytoplasm.
VACUOLES
• Helps to store water, salt,
excretory materials.
• Contains characteristic
membrane called tonoplast.
GOLGI COMPLEX
• It collects cell secreations like
enzymes, hormones, mucous
etc.
• It is seen in glandular cells.
CHLOROPLAST
• It is the special part of plant cell.
• It contain chlorophyll pigments
which helps in photosynthesis.
