1. Cast and Crew
Cast
Claira
Claira is an 18 year old who drives. I wanted
her to play the role of Aster since personality
wise they’re quite similar. Claira is sweet
natured and artistic similar to Aster. I also
wanted Claira to play this role as she goes to
Forest Forge. Forest Forge is a youth theatre
company who produce brilliant pieces of
theatre. I’ve been going there myself since I
was seven and have had the privilege of working
aside Claira so I know that she’s professional
and amazing actress.
Jude
Jude is an 18 year old who doesn’t drive. I
wanted him to play the role of Billy since he
has similar features to the character.
Furthermore, I have known Jude for a long time
since he used to go to Forest Forge as well. So
I know that he’s a great actor who I feel will
work hard at getting in the inside of the
character. Also Jude and Claira have worked
alongside each other in past shows and I know
that the chemistry between them on stage is
strong so I know that they’ll be able to bring
that to my short film.
The friends
Mel played by Jade Purly- Jade is 17 so I’ll have to get
parental consent. However I chose her because she’s the right
age and she likes to party.
Rachel is going to be played by Amber. She’s 17 so I will
have to get parental consent. I think amber would be good for
the roll of Rachel because she’s as outgoing as she is. As
well as likes parties.
Stan is going to be played by David. David will be 18. I think
David will fit this part since he has blonde hair like Stan
the character.

James will be played by James Morris. James will be 17 so
will need parental consent. I think James will play the role
of James well since he’s a teenage boy as well.
Jack will be played by Jack- jack is 17 so will need parental
consent. I think jack will play this role well since he
naturally has a crackhead look anyways.
Ben will be played by Ben. Ben is 17 so will need parental
consent. I think Ben will be good at this role since he is
skinny and would be able to pull off the look of a heroin
addict.
Harry will be played by Harry. Harry is 17 so will need
parental consent. I think harry will be good for this role
because he has long straight hair and is skinny so easily
could look like an addict.
Cameron- Cameron will be played by Cameron. Cam is 18. I think
Cameron will fit this role well because of his long hair and
cool clothing style.
Crew
Sound- When Cameron is not acting he will help me with sound.
Cameron will hold the boom pole in scenes with many people,
as well as the H4n External recorder when filming intimate
scenes.
If Cameron is acting I will use David to be on sound.
I will teach both of them how to use the equipment properly
so that the equipment doesn’t get damaged or wrongly used.

To Hire out these two pieces of
equipment for 3 days it will cost me

For costumes there’s a vintage Kilo
sale where its £15 per kilo. I will go
and look to see if I can find anything
that Claira of Jude definitely need to
play their characters in.
Claira Drives so she will be driving us everywhere so I will pay for her fuel
money. As well as transport for the extras.

I will need to pay for Jude’s train ticket to travel to Ringwood from Ashurst.
I will pay for everyone’s food if they’re hungry.
Hypodermic needles are dangerous so I will need to invest in fake ones so
that it doesn’t actually go into Claira’s or Jude’s arm.
I am paying my friend Q £10 to use her apartment for the final scenes where
Aster dies. She’s asked for £10 since her business is run from home and she’ll
loose business with us all there.
I will Buy Q, Kate and my neighbor flowers and wine each to say thank you
for letting me use their apartment.
I will invest in a camera stabilizer so I can use it in future projects. I have found
one for £35 so is affordable for me.

Work plan schedual
I have decided to start filming on the 11th of January because
it’s after Christmas so I will have money from Christmas to
spend on the equipment as well as on the other expenses on
the budget list. Furthermore, I think it is better that it’s
after Christmas and not before/ during since people go away
for the holidays so would be difficult to get everyone
together at the right time.
Also I have the 18th as a filming day as well just in case I
can’t get all the footage I need in two days.

Legal and Ethical

If anything were to go wrong while shooting such as:
Raining- I would make sure everyone has a rain coat and or an umbrella.
Illness- I would make sure that I could ask someone to step in or see if they can
film on another day.
A risk assessment will be provided later on-closer to shooting date.
In-depth Scenes
In the heroin scene I want it to look similar to the Pulp Fiction scene when John
Travolta Does heroin for the first time.
