The workingTitle is Imitation.I thoughtthiswouldbe a goodideafor the title asin the filmwe see
that there are replicasof the same eventtoshow loadsof differentsimulations.
The Length of the filmwouldroughlybe around10-12 minutes.
The Tagline wouldbe “are we the simulation,orare you?”This wouldgetthe audience intriguedas
it’sa rhetorical question.Alsoitwouldmake the audience questionrealitywhichiswhat the filmis
intendedfor.

David
Davidlikesvideogamesandvirtual reality.He’ssortof the goofyone outof the grouphoweveris
actuallyreallyintelligentandcanshowhisknowledge whengiventhe chance.He likesspaghetti
bolognaise andcolawhichhisdadmakeshim.
Cameron
Cameronisa sweetiebutisthe Prickof the group.He’sveryintelligentandeveryonejokesthathe’s
autisticbutdon’tgenuinelymeanit.He reallylikescomputerscience andplayingthe game Sims.
James
Jamesisthe sad mysteriousone of the group.He’sawkwardnessis endearingtogirls.However
althoughbeingamassive introvert.Whenhe’swithhismateshe canreallycome outof hisshell and
be veryfunnyand stupid.
Jacob
Jacob isa sweetie.He didn’tusedtohangoutwiththese guys.He usedto be a bit of a recluse.
Howeverhe startedgamingwiththemandthenbecame a part of the group.He doescomputer
codinginhisspare time andwatchesa lotof Anime.
Synopsis
The guys all meetup.Theyall at Cameron’shouse playingpool.Theytalkaboutnormal stuff likegirls
and games,funnytimes.Jacobstartstotalk aboutvirtual reality.Theygetintoadiscussionaboutit
all howit worksand such.Cameroncomesup withthe ideaof makingsomethinglikethat.Jamesat
firstispessimistic.“Doyouknowhowlongand difficultitwouldbe todothat cam?” Theyhave a
discussionandtalkaboutthe logisticsof it.Andwhatit wouldbe usedfor.Theydecide todoit.
2 yearspassand we see them.Ina roomfilledwithcomputersandtechnology.Andascreen.Witha
man on it.Jacob at a computerfilledwithcodingandfire walls.Davidtalksintoamicrophone.“how
are youdoingtodaymate” theyguyon the screenturnsaround andlookshimin the eye.“imdoing
alrightDavid howare you”.They’ve made a virtual personandare tryingto teach itabout feelings
so itcan actuallyrealise howtotreatandtalk to people.
Time passesandthenone day Davidasksthe questionagaintoGuy.Theynow have givenhima
name- Guy.“How are youtoday Guy?”Guy waitsa while before answeringhersighs heavily before
turningaroundhe says. “What am I doinghere.Whydo youask me the same thing everyday and
whyare youjust a voice whycan I see you?”

2. Theyboysstart to freakout. Guyhas startedto thinkfor himself.Cameronfreaksout.Andstarts
ramblingonaboutpullingthe pluganddeletingitall.Jacobdoesn’tfeel the same way.Guysaysthat
he can hearthemall. Camerongoesintoa franticstate questioninghisreality.Whetherthey’re the
same as Guy. “What if we’re ina simulation!”slowlywe seethe simulationsone afteranother
pullingoutof eachotherto showthe simulationswithinthe simulations.Allactingthe same.All the
same scenariojustwithdifferentpeople.Whendoesitendwhere are the original people.Whois
the ultimate powerorare we all justreplicasof eachother?
The target audience wouldbe boysaged15-19. It wouldappeal toboyswholike Sci-Fi.Wholike
gaming,andplayingcomputergames.Theywouldroughlybe aC2 on the 4C’s scale since their
parentswouldhave alrightpayingjobs.Furthermore,theywouldhave jobsthemselvestopayfor
theirgamesand clothes.Toreachthistarget audience Iwouldmake the characterssimilartothem
so that they’re relatable.Butalmostbettersothattheycan also aspire to themas well.
Style
I will shootthisfilmlikeanyusual American filmstyle.Itwouldbe inchronological order.Andthe
audience will expectwhatshotsshouldcome next.Forinstance,if Ihave a longshotthenI will have
a close up to show more detail inthe shot.
Market place
I can see thisfilmbeinginfilmfestivalsasitwouldbe a goodshort filmtomake people think.
HoweverIdon’tthinkitwouldhave a sequel atall.I thinkit’smeanttobe simple.Justone filmthat
leavesanimprintonthe audience.Andleavesthemaskingquestions.

3. Script andstoryboard
We see a roomfilled with technology computersbig tanks. Theroom barely hasany windows, just
three small windows by the ceiling. DavidCameron andJacoba disersedaroundthe room. A screen
with a boy with his back to us standsona hill side.
David-(Pressesanintercom leaning forward towards the screen) How are youtoday mate?
Guy- I’mgoodthank you. How are youDavid?
David- (Leans back andlooks at Cameron andJacob.)
Cameronand Jacob-(Look back atDavid then continuethe work they were doing.)
