Editor's Notes
Corporate Award is a practical, work-based learning programme with coursework instead of exams.
For large teams, the course can be contextualised to your organisation.
Or if all learners are from the same industry sector, it can be contextualised to the sector.
Or it can be a syndicated programme with learners from multiple organisations across multiple sectors in which case it’s not contextualised.
At Practitioner Level for the final assessed assignment you have 2 options either to have the project chosen by the candidate or you can opt to have CIPS contextualize an integrative assignment from the 5 modules. The latter is typically what most customers choose to do. The Project at Practitioner Level is 5,000 words. It must show real business return on investment. If a business project is chosen as the final assessed assignment, there is a workshop and then 3 one-to-one surgeries. The student then submits their 5,000 word written work for assessment before presenting in front of an assessment panel.
At Advanced Practitioner Level, the final assessed assignment is always on a business project and must demonstrate real business return on investment. There is a workshop and then 3 one-to-one surgeries. The student submits 10,000 words and does an oral presentation in front of a panel, both of which are assessed.
At Practitioner level there is an integrative assignment which takes the learning from all the 5 modules. The assignment is 5,000 words.
At Advanced Practitioner level a project must be chosen by the individual and agreed by their sponsoring management team and the CIPS assessment team. The Project at Advanced Practitioner Level is 10,000 words. It must demonstrate real business return on investment.
