My Mother In My Life Essay
My mother died four years ago from an asthma attack and not a day goes by that I don't miss her! Initially, when I found out that she passed away;
I was 15 years old at the time. As a result, I knew my whole life was about to change; I would have a void in my heart forever. Furthermore, losing
my mother would change my perspective of the world, especially at such a young age. Although, it's hard to describe the pain that I felt, I can still
remember her inner and outer beauty. For example, she fed me and sacrificed sufficient sleep on my behalf. Also, I was very proud of mymother for
going back to school to get her diploma. In my eyes, this made her a hero because of the obstacles that she had to overcome as an adult. To illustrate
this point, she got pregnant during her senior year and had to drop out. However, being the strong, determined person that she was, she went back to
school when my brother was six months old and earned her GED.
I would describe my mother as a gorgeous, splendid, delicate, exquisite, and delightful, woman. She gave birth to me as a young lady. She was the
first person that I saw and in my opinion, she was the best mother in the whole universe .First of all, my mother didn't get very much sleep when I
awakened in the middle of the night crying. Second of all, she changed my diapers whenever I wet myself, and watched me laugh every time that I
smiled at her appearances. Third of all, she watched me when I first began to walk. Of course, she was

What Does My Family Mean To You Essay
This essay is about how my family has raised me since the day that I was born. Also, I will talk about my illness and the community around me how
they have helped me throughout life.
"My family" one of the best words that I love, because my family has raised me since I was born. Coming out to the world and starting to develop my
body system as the years move on has been great. Especially, my mother she has been there for me and one of the things that makes me feel great is
that she never goes by herself I always tend to be by her side. Even though I tend to talk to her bad, not pay any attention to her makes me feel bad
because she is my mother the one that has taken care of me since the day that I came to the world. That is why my mother...show more content...
Both of my parents knew what was going on during those years they felt very sad for me especially, because I would not understand the situation that
I am in. However, as of now both my parents and me understand how everything will eventually change, but we are capable of having fun here in the
world because god knows that we can achieve anything.
The last main point is my community, because they were always there for me they never let me do things alone. I remember when I had my
surgery I was in bed for a whole week it felt miserable. Not having people coming to see me felt bad, even though I helped them in some things
they did not appreciate it. Until one day my neighbors and friends came to see me I felt great, because they made me do everything so I can get
out of the hospital as soon as possible. When I got home and the days passed I started to recover from that surgery and got to the routine with the
neighbors they helped me in tasks and I helped them back it was good. Thanks to them coming to visit me in the hospital, because if I was lonely
chances are that I would even be in the hospital still or something else would of happened. That is why I am enjoyable on having those close
neighbors and friends because they are capable of helping one another.
I would want the rep to know how my illness made my family raise me differently, and how my community has also been part of helping me. It will be
good for them to know all this because it shows

The Relationship I Have With My Mother Essay
The relationship I have with my mother is complicated. During the first five years of my life, my grandparents were the ones who raised my brother
and I. I vividly remember the day when my mother left to come to the United States. I constantly cried and chased after her, but she did not look back
at me nor explained the situation. Most likely, she must have thought that I was too young to understand what was going on. Instead, with that memory,
she left me scarred. Since then, I began to develop a resentment towards her. A month before my sixth birthday, my father came to the Philippines to
bring my brother and I to the United States. I felt neutral about the situation. And since I have not seen my mother in so long, my grudge died down. It
felt as though I was going to meet a stranger.
In my family, I am the middle child. My parents treat my siblings and I differently, which is more noticeable from my mom. However, both of my
parents seem to favor my siblings over me. My dad prefers my younger sister, while my mom favors my older brother. Growing up, it is very
evident that favoritism occurs within this household. I am often considered as the problematic child. I believe that the reason for so is because my
parents did not give me as much attention compared to my siblings, so they do not understand how I feel. I also grew up in a family where disclosing
how I feel is difficult to do without coming across as disrespectful towards my parents. This conflict of favoritism and

My Hero: My Mother Essay
The one person that I could never live without, the reason I am standing till this day, is my mother. My mother is who I thank and admire most of
all. Without her dedication and hard work, I would be in the squatters of the Philippines, stuck in a place where it is a very difficult place to make a
good enough living or even make enough money to keep the bread on the table for your family. Her main goal and dream was to pass the NCLEX
exam, it would permit her to go to America. That would allow her to make a better living and life for herself and to get a job, in order to send back
money needed for her family.

She knew that a good education would be the only way to become successful in the future. My mom made a promise to herself, to have full
dedication in her school work in order to move to America, to earn money for her family. She wanted to get control of her life and make sure to have a
great education.
She enjoyed learning and studying in high school. She would lock herself in her room, and sat in a desk that was in the corner of the room. She
would study nonstop, even eating dinner as she read her books. She was so proud of herself when she did great on all her tests and finals. Her
friends would invite her to go out and eat at the mall, but she would remember the promise she made to herself, to put all schoolwork before
everything, because it was more important. Once she graduated high school with the highest average of her class, she worked even harder in her college
classes. She enrolled to get a Metical Technology degree because she knew the employers were always needed in the medical field.
My mom studied day and night to pass her board exam. The board exam was what you needed to pass in order to graduate college. She passed that
exam swiftly and worked toward her next exam, that allowed her to travel to America and would guide her to the successful future she truly deserved.
That exam was called, "The State Board Exam". It was an extremely hard exam that many Filipinos took in order to move to America. Many even took

My Mother: The Best Mother
My mother has many wonderful traits, but there's a few that stand out. First of all, her wisdom is outstanding. She provides great advice no matter the
situation. Also, I'd say she has a positive mentality. She always has this optimistic point of view for everything. Ultimately, the trait that stands out in
her the most is compassion. It's incredible the way she shows compassion towards everyone. Her way of demonstrating compassion is very unique. She
always puts herself in everyone else's shoes, without naming their flaws. Overall, she the best mother I could have asked for.
Ever since day one, she has proven to be a wise woman. When preparing for a test she helps me by giving me useful advice on how to mentally
prepare for it. When in doubt...show more content...
He gave us the hospitals name and we instantly looked it up in the GPS and my mother drove us there. We quickly ran up to the floor where my
brother was being treated. As soon as we saw my father sitting in the waiting room my mother ran up him to ask him what did the doctors say
about my brother. He said that due to his grave condition he had to be placed in intensive care. That as soon as my brother's condition stabilized,
we would be able to see him. My mother was trying to be strong, I could see it in her eyes and in the way she talked. Since time was passing by and
we were already tired, my father took us to a hotel and left us there. He then went back to the hospital with my mother. Days went by and little
improvement was shown, things were beginning to look good. Nurses informed us that we were able to see my brother. But only two people can
be in the room at once. So both of my parents went in first. Then after a while, my brothers and I went in. He was in a bed asleep, he looked tired
and exhausted. We decided to leave and let him rest. Finally, a doctor came out the door and through the hallway looking for my parents. My mother
quickly stood up and asked him how was my brother doing. The doctor said that my brother had the flu and two other viruses that he had encountered
most probably in the previous hospital. My mother's face was sadness in every sense

My Mother Essay
My mother was born on June 27th, 1977, in a tiny rural area called El Cerrrito, in the outskirts of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She lived a very
sad, somber, and unhappy childhood as she lost her father at the young age of 2. This tragic incident lead to my grandmother upholding the role of both
mother and father. She worked fulltime as a photographer and provided for the household, while simultaneously raising my mother with the help of her
parents. This caused great unhappiness in my mom's family. My Great Grandparents, still alive today, helped raise my mom as a child. They served as
the second parents that my mother never really had, but due to this inattention, my mother was able to do what she pleased. . The one person that my

Furthermore, my mother has always disregarded gender or societal norms, and I love her for this, but she does admit that being a woman has its
advantages. Women have it easier when it comes to receiving help or assistance for any task. "Women just smile and we can get away with
anything", she said half seriously, but then shifted the topic towards how women get more help from the government, men, and even have an
advantage when it comes to child custody. These things are all true, and even though she had a harsh childhood that restricted her from doing
many things, as a girl, she overcame these obstacles and carved her own path. Although the dreams of becoming an actress where never realized
due to the lack of opportunity in socioeconomic status and support from family members, my mother's second dream to raise her own family was
accomplished. Married at the age of 18 and expecting a child, my mother said that marriage was exactly what she expected. Even though my parents
are no longer married, she enjoyed her 14 years of marriage. The product of those 14 years of marriage were 3 kids, including myself. Now my
mother is expecting another child. To my surprise, my mother expressed that she indeed treats my brother differently than me or my sister. She said
that she treated girls as more independent, strong minded, and unafraid, whereas my brother is treated as more dependent, weak minded, and afraid.
Usually it is the opposite,

My Mom Taught Me
Looking back through my life, i have realized my mother has taught me the most. The one who means the most to me, the one person that has been
the absolute best she can be for me and our family, always. The strongest most wise human being i know has been in my life since day one, which i
am forever grateful for. "The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything." This quote is something my
mom has always lived by and taught her kids at a young age. We weren't rich, didn't have everything we needed at times but we always had ourfamily
and love that went all around, which was enough for us. My mom is honestly my rock, she has been there for me through everything. Throughout life
we have definitely had our differences, mostly it's me, the teenager wanting to do something stupid and my mom trying to show me why i shouldn't
make these careless decisions. As a teenager you might think you are grown and know everything that's why the parents are there to knock some sense
into our brains, they have been through the same exact stuff, they can shed some light on the situation. Parents try to teach their kids to learn from their
mistakes but, everyone has to learn from their own mistakes. So the parents can only do their best at teaching their children morals. My mother has
taught me everything i know, starting off with being grateful everyday, living in the moment every single day, to seize the day. My mom has taught me

My Mother And My Childhood
To this day, I can still remember standing at the end of my driveway watching my mother arrive home from the bus stop. This day was different;
she was not coming home empty handed. In fact, she had stopped at a yard sale on the way home and bought a prize for me, a doll named Suzy.
This memory, from the age of two, embraces the story of my mother and my entire childhood. In Indianapolis, Indiana in September 1980, I was
born to a single mother. Throughout her life, she worked for the phone company in downtown Indianapolis. Even though she raised us through
hardships and despair, she always took the time to love my brother and me outwardly. Until second grade, I have no recollection of my father
visiting more than three occasions. At last, in fourth grade we began to spend weekends at his house and with his family. Sadly, when I was eleven
we learned that my father had cancer. One week before Christmas, after a school music program, I read his obituary in the paper and told my mother
he had passed away. From that moment, our family forever changed, specifically my relationship with my mother. During childhood, I took enjoyment
in reading, school, and the arts. Escaping into books and my schoolwork would be my escape from real life. Since school was the priority in our
household, there was little time for extracurricular activities. Similarly, through my high school years, determined to make my mother proud, I pushed
myself to succeed. Above all else, college was the goal

What can one say about their mother? One may talk about her positive and negative characteristics. There are so many great traits I love and admire
about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits,
which my mother possesses.
Ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my brother and I financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually
by herself. My mom gave her all, by that I mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the essential amenities
to grow happily and successfully. Another way she supported us was with love and care. My mom...show more content...
She would encourage me by simply saying, "Complaining is a useless way to solve problems, but becoming active on the issue is a great way to
conquer it. My mother My mother has always had strong faith and views in her religion. When I was younger, every day and night, she would bring
prayer time to me and my brother's attention. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed
her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it.
One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle.
My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although
my mother's intentions were good, occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came to my mother
in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly
installments. My mom never did see the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give, whether is it a
donation, or volunteering your time in your community. My

me because with all the hard time that they had to have me and my siblings in their life they still fought for us and didn't give up, even after 17 years

The greatest influence in my life has been from my mother. She has nurtured, raised, and guided me through all of my ups and downs. She has
been a rock for my family, and always shines her sunshine into our lives. My mom is someone I have always looked up to and who I strive to live
my life like. She has always persevered through her challenges and had endurance while striving to achieve her goals. I have been inspired by my
mom's legacy of determination and resilience, and hope to create a similar legacy for others and those who will come after me.
My mother has always been a sweet and loving girl. Her parents married young, and loved her with every ounce of themselves. However, they soon
separated when she was only one year old, leaving her to live with her mother. She created many beautiful memories with her mom, who smothered her
in love and affection. Even though her world was content, her mother struggled financially and emotionally. They moved frequently, and my mom
attended nine different schools before third grade. Eventually, my grandmother became unable to take care of my mom anymore, so she made a
deal for my mom to live with her dad for one year. However, when the time came, my grandfather refused to let my mom go, because he knew that
she would live a life on constant change and instability. He knew that she would be happier and safer living with him. Indeed, when my mom started
the third grade, she was far behind, and by the end of the school year was one of

My Mother, My Friend
My Mother, My Friend It is not easy, moving back home with your parents as an adult. Especially when you are the parent of grown children
yourself. Due to circumstances beyond my control, that is what I had to do. Although I had been out of my parents home for over thirty years and
had been married (and divorced) moving back home kind of felt like I had never left. I believe that is because my parents were treating me as though
I was the unruly teenager I once was. That and the fact I was in MY bedroom. I choose to do my relationship analysis paper on my relationship with my
mother Juanita. My mom has Alzheimer's, and communication can be frustrating at times. The three communication concepts I will focus on are, 1.
Becoming a better listener, 2, Expressing myself to her in a way she can better understand and 3. Paying better attention to her nonverbal cues. I
love my mother dearly, and want to be able to communicate with her the best we can. My mother is one of the most important people in my life. In
fact, she is probably THE most important person in my life. She is beautiful, she is kind, she is thoughtful and she is honest. She is a good wife,
mother, grandmother and great grandmother. There is not a mean bone in her body. I have worked for the last fifteen years doing in Home Health

to popular belief. She kind of is not just my mom she for the most part is also my really the best friend in a for all intents and purposes major way.

Essay on My Mother
From a distance, my mother appears to be an ordinary round woman with an irritable attitude. In public, she projects an image of high maintenance
with power and control. When in her usual indecipherable mood, she wears a refined expression as she puts on a pout that reveals her plump cheeks.
When we go out, she makes sure that she always has make–up on and a fashionable bag in hand. Sometimes, she'd take a good look at me and say,
"You should put on some lipstick and eyeliner! You look dead!" She knows what she wants and how to get it, she speaks with authority when

selective hearing in that she does not hear my brother when he curses under his breath. She cannot hear me when I ask her questions that she
thinks have an obvious answer or when she is not interested. When she does not want to put effort into talking, she acts like she did not hear or
she tries to keep the conversation short and to the point. "Mom, do you think that I could go to the states and major in computer science?" I asked,
worried about her reaction. "Why, what's wrong with taking nursing at UOG?" she answered, sounding like she was trying to keep her voice from
ascending. "Well, I don't have much of a passion for nursing and I'm really interested in computers." "Your grandmother pushed me to become a
nurse and I'm making a higher income than all of our relatives. You'll be able to find a job anywhere and you'll have the money to buy whatever you
want. You're going to UOG. " She started walking towards her room. "Mom, wait.

My Reflection On My Mother Essay
A mother is someone who can take the place of all others but no one can take the place of her. There are many different definitions you could use to
describe your mother. My mother, Pam Krull, fits every one of those. Today I decided to pick the three that I thought was most important to me. I
admire and aspire to be like my mother because of how supportive, how selfless, and how loving she is. My mom has gone through a lot to get where
she is today. I will begin by telling you a little bit about my mom's background. My mom grew up outside of George with her parents, Harris and Bev
Kaster, and her three siblings, Erik, Brad, and Kristy. She attended George High School when they were still Blue Jays. My mom was involved in
a lot of different activities. She was in the play, large group and individual speech, a cheerleader, played the drums in band, was in student council,
secretary of her class, REC club, band, and jazz band. In her free time she hung out with friends and her sister. She had a few jobs growing up also.
She babysat a lot, worked at the library, and the dentist office. My mother also helped teach bible school, catechism, and attended youth group at Hope
Reformed Church. My mother met my dad, Doug Krull when she was a junior in high school. They dated for a while and ended getting married. They
then had three beautiful daughters, Allyssa, Megan, and Rebecca. My mom went to Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, to get her education

My Mother Influenced Me
Out of everyone in my life I feel as if my mother is the person who influences me most. My mother is someone who is very sweet and would do
anything for her kids as well as her family to make sure they are happy and smiling. As I started to grow up and started to go out and be more
independent that is when I started to realize what an impact my mom has on my life. Growing up my parents were divorced and my mom was the
one who basically raised me on her own. She showed me right from wrong and guided me and pushed me to do the right things in life and strive for
success. As I grew up my mom was always right by my side and accepted my dreams and wanted me to go out and pursue every dream I have. And
now looking back at everything my mom has taught me I can't thank her enough! Because without my mom pushing me to succeed, being there for me
when times were tough and being a forgiving person I would not be where I am today.
My mother's name is Heather and she is 38 years old. My mother and I look like sisters. She has dark brown hair, brown eyes how ever the only

to begin from "zero". This critical time made every member in my family really upset. But it was my mother, the persistent and brave women,
strongly stood up and started over again after this great adversity. Each of her failures, her grief, and the way she overcame difficulties to move on
has made an indelible impression in my mind, leaving me with precious lessons about the values of strong wills and indefatigable endeavors to
firmly confront with setbacks and bravely conquer them. There was time when I felt that there was no more hope in life, that I felt very weary and
was about to give up everything. After the constant moving from one place to another and my grades slipping down the drain I was unable to deal
with any small problems and felt embarrassed to meet my relatives and friends. However, that was also the time that I acquired from my mother how
to learn from her mistakes and developed my own set of tools to take more lessons from them to realize the proper meanings of determination.

about aspects of her life taught me alot. I learned how much my mom has sacrificed for her family and how much being a mother means to her. She
informed me that her life isn't what she thought it would be but she wouldn't have it any other way. Learning about gender roles and how women are
suppose to be in this world from class became more personal to me because my mother is actually living what society says women are suppose to be.
In the Women's Lives book the authors state, "One of the most intimate relationships a woman can experience is her relationship with her child"
(Etaugh 188). This sentence in the book proved how my mother was describing her love for us and how we were the best things that has happened
to her. During our interview, she shared with me that she has never loved anyone like she loves her children and she has never felt love like we
love her. Women are suppose to take care of the children, take care of the home, and be a good wife to their husband and my mom is doing all and
more. It was surprising to know that my mom doesn't miss working because while I was young she was always employed and was very independent.
Now that she is basically depending on my step dad for the income in the household, it is very weird and interesting to me. Another thing that I learned
while interviewing my mother was her thoughts of social class. She shared with me

My Most Important Mentors In My Life : My Mother
I could say I have many mentors in my life, but my most important mentor is my mom. A mentor to me is someone who critically guides you
through your life decisions and provokes endless learning from their life experiences and wisdom. The only person who meets my idea of a
mentor is my mom. I have known her since birth and have always felt loved and cared by her. She gives me every tool I could possibly need to
succeed through primary school and onto postsecondary schooling. She has always given me words of encouragement, been honest when I am in
the wrong, and has always pushed me to reach my potential. I went to my mom on a Sunday, which is family day in our house. We went out to
lunch with my brother since he was visiting from college, and I got the opportunity to ask my mom about her views on Mitch's and my topics. In
my conversation with my mom we talked about three topics; A meaningful life, Family, and Education. Mitch's first topic was what it means to have
a meaningful life. My mom believes that what it means to have a meaningful life, is that it should not be defined by money or other people's
opinions. But rather it should be defined by your happiness and compassion for the things you do in your everyday life. When discussing Mitch's
second topic, family, my mom believes that the most important thing is that family is there for you to be honest, and to be critical of your decisions
in life. We both agreed they should be supportive of your passions and beliefs,

My Mother Is My Mom
Growing up I've always had my mom and my grandmother taking care of me but, at times my mom would always have to work and I hated it. My
mom worked late hours or went in early in the morning. Everyday I always wondered why did she have to leave, why couldn't she just stay home
with us, was it that hard for her to just stay home? My granny did her very best taking care of us and I loved her so much for that. There was still
always this though in my head everyday that i always thought of and that was "would mommy ever take off work and spend more time with us".
The story of my father he was not in my life much until i got older around 6 or 7 year old. Most of the time i really wasn't worried about my father
being in my life, but sometimes...show more content...
Her grandmother showed her all the love and care she need that her mother and father should have showed her and she was very happy that she did
have her. Janie's grandmother did anything she could to make sure she was well taken care of and happy. She wanted her to be a successful head in
the books type of girl but all Janie wanted was for a man to love her. If Janie had her father to love her like he should then i think she would not be out
trying to find it. Her grandmother clearly loved her enough and that's all she needed but that was not what Janie wanted.
Me and Janie and everyone else have been through many struggles but it's always that one struggle that hits you the hardest. The situation with my
mother i really didn't handle it to well i was young and i wanted my mommy to be around her more often i missed her very much every hour she
was gone, when she came home I was always happy. My father situation i handled it well simply because, sometimes I really did not care most . I
took this with me through my life because as i got older i started to learn that my mother had no choice but to work because of the thing we wanted
and needed. I will use this memory for my to make sure that (If I have children) they will know that mommy has to work to provide for them and to
make sure that they have a father that will be with them throughout their

My Mother In My Life
My mother is a very complicated woman. I believe the best way to describe her would be, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." I know,
weird way to start off my literary story, right? As much as I do not like my mother, I love her, and respect her. While I am being honest, I owe my
work ethic and a vast majority of my success to her, as much as I hate to admit it. The way she lived her life, most college graduates and the societal
hoity toity types would raise their noses to. However, you can't deny her dedication to her children and their education, she is the start of my literacy
journey. My mother wasn't always...how do it put this? Let's go with questionable, and she was stable and the picture–perfect mother when she was
married to my father. My mother and father thought it would be beneficial for her to stay at home with my twin brother and I. Flash cards were
always there, before Kindergarten my mom made sure my twin and I could count to 100, we knew our ABC's, we could write our names, our
parents' names, knew our address and phone number. Every Thursday we went to the public library for story time and to pick out our books for
the week. Before nap and before bed we would read one of Miguel's books and one of mine, some of the books we read so much that my brother
and I memorized the stories. We would even pretend to read those favorite stories. As the years went on and we went to school my mother was super
involved. She had all our grades emailed to her,

Mother Essay : My Mother
My Mom Moms are the most special and pure beings in the world. They are that being who gives everything for love, for her home, for her children
and grandchildren. The mother is such a blessed woman that she endures so many things for the sake of her children, while many times we are
ungrateful to them, assuming that our mothers will always be there for us.
When moms still there with you, it is fortunate to have her, because the kind of love she gives is the purest you can ever find. My mom, for example,
is very special to me, since she has taught me how to live and how to value things in life. She has always been present at all times and has not spent a
single day in which she has forgotten to give me her blessing. she is the one who...show more content...
She always encourages me to work hard, stay focus and never give up. She has been a great example of how to be an excellent mother and wife. What I
admire most about her is that when I was a baby she used to work everyday and I am surprised that she always had time for me and her work, I mean
that working and taking care of a baby is very difficult. Everyday she gets up to work, to be sure that I have everything I need. She's a mother and wife
focused on giving her family the best of her. If my family were in need, she would do whatever it takes to get what is needed.
Another reason why my mother is very special is because she always makes space and takes time to go to my volleyball games. She sometimes has
to drive three or four hours and stay in a hotel just to be present in my games. She gets really involved in the game, she cheers a lot, and she is my
number one cheerleader. My mom sometimes takes goodies to treat my teammates. They all respect and love her because how she treats everyone
on the team. She gets excited and has a lot of fun in my games. I'm thankful for what my mom has done for me. Everyday she's looking for different
ways to improve my lifestyle. The sacrifices she has to make to help me move forward is something I will never be able to pay her back. There's
nothing better than share with her my challenges and achievements. I always ask God to bless me allowing me to have

My Mother And Mother
My mother was my primary caregiver throughout all of my childhood. While my father was in the picture for a majority of my childhood, he was
also a severe alcoholic which greatly impacted my upbringing. My rules, obligations, and expectations were not always set in stone and did often
depend on the time, situation, and/or mood of my parents. I think it is normal for parents to differ slightly in their parenting styles occasionally. As a
young kid I remember my sister and I being very aware that the mood my mother was in greatly contributed to the outcome of a question or event. I
think most, if not all of us can relate to this. Overall however, I would say that my mother had an authoritative parenting style. My mother made is very
clear that she was the parent and in charge, however she was welcoming and understanding enough that I felt comfortable coming to her with
questions or problems. My mom was also very encouraging and supportive. She always pushed me to do my best but never made me feel bad if I
did not reach my goals. I was lucky to have such a great relationship with my mom, not everyone does. As a young teenager I had many friends who
would come to me with questions and concerns because they knew my mom was so open–minded and understanding. My mom was always my parent
first and my friend second. I knew what was expected of me and I was disciplined for bad behavior, however I always knew I could go to her with
anything I needed.
My father, like many addicts was

Being A Mother : My Life Of My Mother
My mother is the most diligent worker I know and I highly respect her for that. My mom, sister, and I moved across the globe to find better
opportunities for jobs and Education. She worked two jobs as a single mother, and was still able to take care of and support my sister and me in
anything we aspired to do. Being a mother itself is difficult enough because it is an everyday job with no brakes or vacation. She is the person who
inspires me and the person who motivates me to do my best at everything I do. To her, my sister and I's happiness was worth more to her than her
own and for that I truly believe she is the best person in the world. Even when things get hard for her, she does not take time out for herself. During the
death of my grandfather, she had no time to grieve over him because she told us that she has work to keep my sister and I fed and happy. That was
when I realized that if she is going through all the gruelling effort just to keep me and my sister happy, then my goal in life would just to give back to
her by making her proud of me. With her as my motivation I joined things that would make her proud. Freshmen year, I auditioned for thehigh school
traveling band, which was a truly challenging band to get into. I was one of only six freshmen to get in. Joining that band allowed me to experience
my first time traveling with the school across the country to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York, one of the most prestigious halls to perform in the
world. I

My Mother In My Life Essay

  • 1. My Mother In My Life Essay My mother died four years ago from an asthma attack and not a day goes by that I don't miss her! Initially, when I found out that she passed away; I was 15 years old at the time. As a result, I knew my whole life was about to change; I would have a void in my heart forever. Furthermore, losing my mother would change my perspective of the world, especially at such a young age. Although, it's hard to describe the pain that I felt, I can still remember her inner and outer beauty. For example, she fed me and sacrificed sufficient sleep on my behalf. Also, I was very proud of mymother for going back to school to get her diploma. In my eyes, this made her a hero because of the obstacles that she had to overcome as an adult. To illustrate this point, she got pregnant during her senior year and had to drop out. However, being the strong, determined person that she was, she went back to school when my brother was six months old and earned her GED. I would describe my mother as a gorgeous, splendid, delicate, exquisite, and delightful, woman. She gave birth to me as a young lady. She was the first person that I saw and in my opinion, she was the best mother in the whole universe .First of all, my mother didn't get very much sleep when I awakened in the middle of the night crying. Second of all, she changed my diapers whenever I wet myself, and watched me laugh every time that I smiled at her appearances. Third of all, she watched me when I first began to walk. Of course, she was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. What Does My Family Mean To You Essay This essay is about how my family has raised me since the day that I was born. Also, I will talk about my illness and the community around me how they have helped me throughout life. "My family" one of the best words that I love, because my family has raised me since I was born. Coming out to the world and starting to develop my body system as the years move on has been great. Especially, my mother she has been there for me and one of the things that makes me feel great is that she never goes by herself I always tend to be by her side. Even though I tend to talk to her bad, not pay any attention to her makes me feel bad because she is my mother the one that has taken care of me since the day that I came to the world. That is why my mother...show more content... Both of my parents knew what was going on during those years they felt very sad for me especially, because I would not understand the situation that I am in. However, as of now both my parents and me understand how everything will eventually change, but we are capable of having fun here in the world because god knows that we can achieve anything. The last main point is my community, because they were always there for me they never let me do things alone. I remember when I had my surgery I was in bed for a whole week it felt miserable. Not having people coming to see me felt bad, even though I helped them in some things they did not appreciate it. Until one day my neighbors and friends came to see me I felt great, because they made me do everything so I can get out of the hospital as soon as possible. When I got home and the days passed I started to recover from that surgery and got to the routine with the neighbors they helped me in tasks and I helped them back it was good. Thanks to them coming to visit me in the hospital, because if I was lonely chances are that I would even be in the hospital still or something else would of happened. That is why I am enjoyable on having those close neighbors and friends because they are capable of helping one another. I would want the rep to know how my illness made my family raise me differently, and how my community has also been part of helping me. • 3. The Relationship I Have With My Mother Essay The relationship I have with my mother is complicated. During the first five years of my life, my grandparents were the ones who raised my brother and I. I vividly remember the day when my mother left to come to the United States. I constantly cried and chased after her, but she did not look back at me nor explained the situation. Most likely, she must have thought that I was too young to understand what was going on. Instead, with that memory, she left me scarred. Since then, I began to develop a resentment towards her. A month before my sixth birthday, my father came to the Philippines to bring my brother and I to the United States. I felt neutral about the situation. And since I have not seen my mother in so long, my grudge died down. It felt as though I was going to meet a stranger. In my family, I am the middle child. My parents treat my siblings and I differently, which is more noticeable from my mom. However, both of my parents seem to favor my siblings over me. My dad prefers my younger sister, while my mom favors my older brother. Growing up, it is very evident that favoritism occurs within this household. I am often considered as the problematic child. I believe that the reason for so is because my parents did not give me as much attention compared to my siblings, so they do not understand how I feel. I also grew up in a family where disclosing how I feel is difficult to do without coming across as disrespectful towards my parents. She was so proud of herself when she did great on all her tests and finals. The one who means the most to me, the one person that has been the absolute best she can be for me and our family, always. The strongest most wise human being i know has been in my life since day one, which i am forever grateful for. "The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything." This quote is something my mom has always lived by and taught her kids at a young age. • 8. My Mother And My Childhood To this day, I can still remember standing at the end of my driveway watching my mother arrive home from the bus stop. This day was different; she was not coming home empty handed. In fact, she had stopped at a yard sale on the way home and bought a prize for me, a doll named Suzy. This memory, from the age of two, embraces the story of my mother and my entire childhood. In Indianapolis, Indiana in September 1980, I was born to a single mother. Throughout her life, she worked for the phone company in downtown Indianapolis. Even though she raised us through hardships and despair, she always took the time to love my brother and me outwardly. Until second grade, I have no recollection of my father visiting more than three occasions. At last, in fourth grade we began to spend weekends at his house and with his family. Sadly, when I was eleven we learned that my father had cancer. One week before Christmas, after a school music program, I read his obituary in the paper and told my mother he had passed away. From that moment, our family forever changed, specifically my relationship with my mother. During childhood, I took enjoyment in reading, school, and the arts. Escaping into books and my schoolwork would be my escape from real life. Since school was the priority in our household, there was little time for extracurricular activities. Similarly, through my high school years, determined to make my mother proud, I pushed myself to succeed. Above all else, college was the goal Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Although my mother's intentions were good, occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came to my mother in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly installments. My mom never did see the money that was due to her. • 19. Mother Reflection Paper Since I've never sat and talked to my mom about how she felt about her life and her household, this was an interesting experience for me. My mom never complains and always wants to make sure we're okay so this was my first time hearing some of the things she shared with me. After interviewing my mother, it made me look at her and our relationship extremely differently. It made me appreciate her more and want to tell her that I love her way more. I never knew all the sacrifices she made for us nor did I know details about her and my step dad's marriage. I'm so happy I was able to do this assignment because it not only confirmed aspects of the class I've learned but made the bond with my mom and I closer. Usually, whenever I have conversations with my mom they're about school or my siblings so doing this interview that was about her and how she felt about aspects of her life taught me alot. I learned how much my mom has sacrificed for her family and how much being a mother means to her. She informed me that her life isn't what she thought it would be but she wouldn't have it any other way. Learning about gender roles and how women are suppose to be in this world from class became more personal to me because my mother is actually living what society says women are suppose to be. In the Women's Lives book the authors state, "One of the most intimate relationships a woman can experience is her relationship with her child" (Etaugh 188). This sentence in the book proved how my mother was describing her love for us and how we were the best things that has happened to her. During our interview, she shared with me that she has never loved anyone like she loves her children and she has never felt love like we love her. Women are suppose to take care of the children, take care of the home, and be a good wife to their husband and my mom is doing all and more. It was surprising to know that my mom doesn't miss working because while I was young she was always employed and was very independent. Now that she is basically depending on my step dad for the income in the household, it is very weird and interesting to me. Another thing that I learned while interviewing my mother was her thoughts of social class. She shared with me Get more content on HelpWriting.net

A mentor to me is someone who critically guides you through your life decisions and provokes endless learning from their life experiences and wisdom. The only person who meets my idea of a mentor is my mom. I have known her since birth and have always felt loved and cared by her. She gives me every tool I could possibly need to succeed through primary school and onto postsecondary schooling. She has always given me words of encouragement, been honest when I am in the wrong, and has always pushed me to reach my potential. I went to my mom on a Sunday, which is family day in our house. We went out to lunch with my brother since he was visiting from college, and I got the opportunity to ask my mom about her views on Mitch's and my topics. In my conversation with my mom we talked about three topics; A meaningful life, Family, and Education. Mitch's first topic was what it means to have a meaningful life. My mom believes that what it means to have a meaningful life, is that it should not be defined by money or other people's opinions. But rather it should be defined by your happiness and compassion for the things you do in your everyday life. When discussing Mitch's second topic, family, my mom believes that the most important thing is that family is there for you to be honest, and to be critical of your decisions in life. She wanted her to be a successful head in the books type of girl but all Janie wanted was for a man to love her. If Janie had her father to love her like he should then i think she would not be out trying to find it. Her grandmother clearly loved her enough and that's all she needed but that was not what Janie wanted. Me and Janie and everyone else have been through many struggles but it's always that one struggle that hits you the hardest. The situation with my mother i really didn't handle it to well i was young and i wanted my mommy to be around her more often i missed her very much every hour she was gone, when she came home I was always happy. My father situation i handled it well simply because, sometimes I really did not care most . I took this with me through my life because as i got older i started to learn that my mother had no choice but to work because of the thing we wanted and needed. I will use this memory for my to make sure that (If I have children) they will know that mommy has to work to provide for them and to make sure that they have a father that will be with them throughout their Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 22. My Mother In My Life My mother is a very complicated woman. I believe the best way to describe her would be, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." I know, weird way to start off my literary story, right? As much as I do not like my mother, I love her, and respect her. While I am being honest, I owe my work ethic and a vast majority of my success to her, as much as I hate to admit it. The way she lived her life, most college graduates and the societal hoity toity types would raise their noses to. However, you can't deny her dedication to her children and their education, she is the start of my literacy journey. My mother wasn't always...how do it put this? Let's go with questionable, and she was stable and the picture–perfect mother when she was married to my father. My mother and father thought it would be beneficial for her to stay at home with my twin brother and I. Flash cards were always there, before Kindergarten my mom made sure my twin and I could count to 100, we knew our ABC's, we could write our names, our parents' names, knew our address and phone number. Every Thursday we went to the public library for story time and to pick out our books for the week. Before nap and before bed we would read one of Miguel's books and one of mine, some of the books we read so much that my brother and I memorized the stories. We would even pretend to read those favorite stories. As the years went on and we went to school my mother was super involved. She had all our grades emailed to her, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 23. Mother Essay : My Mother My Mom Moms are the most special and pure beings in the world. They are that being who gives everything for love, for her home, for her children and grandchildren. The mother is such a blessed woman that she endures so many things for the sake of her children, while many times we are ungrateful to them, assuming that our mothers will always be there for us. When moms still there with you, it is fortunate to have her, because the kind of love she gives is the purest you can ever find. My mom, for example, is very special to me, since she has taught me how to live and how to value things in life. She has always been present at all times and has not spent a single day in which she has forgotten to give me her blessing. she is the one who...show more content... She always encourages me to work hard, stay focus and never give up. She has been a great example of how to be an excellent mother and wife. What I admire most about her is that when I was a baby she used to work everyday and I am surprised that she always had time for me and her work, I mean that working and taking care of a baby is very difficult. Everyday she gets up to work, to be sure that I have everything I need. She's a mother and wife focused on giving her family the best of her. If my family were in need, she would do whatever it takes to get what is needed. Another reason why my mother is very special is because she always makes space and takes time to go to my volleyball games. She sometimes has to drive three or four hours and stay in a hotel just to be present in my games. She gets really involved in the game, she cheers a lot, and she is my number one cheerleader. My mom sometimes takes goodies to treat my teammates. They all respect and love her because how she treats everyone on the team. She gets excited and has a lot of fun in my games. I'm thankful for what my mom has done for me. Everyday she's looking for different ways to improve my lifestyle. The sacrifices she has to make to help me move forward is something I will never be able to pay her back. There's nothing better than share with her my challenges and achievements. I always ask God to bless me allowing me to have Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 24. My Mother And Mother My mother was my primary caregiver throughout all of my childhood. While my father was in the picture for a majority of my childhood, he was also a severe alcoholic which greatly impacted my upbringing. My rules, obligations, and expectations were not always set in stone and did often depend on the time, situation, and/or mood of my parents. I think it is normal for parents to differ slightly in their parenting styles occasionally. As a young kid I remember my sister and I being very aware that the mood my mother was in greatly contributed to the outcome of a question or event. I think most, if not all of us can relate to this. Overall however, I would say that my mother had an authoritative parenting style. My mother made is very clear that she was the parent and in charge, however she was welcoming and understanding enough that I felt comfortable coming to her with questions or problems. My mom was also very encouraging and supportive. She always pushed me to do my best but never made me feel bad if I did not reach my goals. I was lucky to have such a great relationship with my mom, not everyone does. As a young teenager I had many friends who would come to me with questions and concerns because they knew my mom was so open–minded and understanding. My mom was always my parent first and my friend second. I knew what was expected of me and I was disciplined for bad behavior, however I always knew I could go to her with anything I needed. My father, like many addicts was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 25. Being A Mother : My Life Of My Mother My mother is the most diligent worker I know and I highly respect her for that. My mom, sister, and I moved across the globe to find better opportunities for jobs and Education. She worked two jobs as a single mother, and was still able to take care of and support my sister and me in anything we aspired to do. Being a mother itself is difficult enough because it is an everyday job with no brakes or vacation. She is the person who inspires me and the person who motivates me to do my best at everything I do. To her, my sister and I's happiness was worth more to her than her own and for that I truly believe she is the best person in the world. Even when things get hard for her, she does not take time out for herself. During the death of my grandfather, she had no time to grieve over him because she told us that she has work to keep my sister and I fed and happy. That was when I realized that if she is going through all the gruelling effort just to keep me and my sister happy, then my goal in life would just to give back to her by making her proud of me. With her as my motivation I joined things that would make her proud. Freshmen year, I auditioned for thehigh school traveling band, which was a truly challenging band to get into. I was one of only six freshmen to get in. Joining that band allowed me to experience my first time traveling with the school across the country to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York, one of the most prestigious halls to perform in the world.
