At the end of the lesson, you are expected to:
A.identify real or make-believe, fact or non-fact images
B.infer the purpose of real and make-believe images
C.differentiate real from make-believe;
D. appreciate the importance and practical uses of real or
make-believe, fact or non-fact images in real life situations.
DIRECTIONS:
CLASSIFY THE PAINTINGS
FOUND THERE AS TO REAL
OR MAKE-BELIEVE.
Real images are pictures which depict visuals of objects or happenings that
exist in real life. These are also known as fact images.
Make-believe images are pictures which illustrate something that is not
real. Though these images may have some realistic features, they are just
product of imagination, thus, do not exist in real life. These are also known
as non-fact images.
Images are found everywhere. They are found and used in books, whether
fiction or non-fiction, advertisements or commercials, movies, tv,
newspapers and magazines. They are used for varied purposes. Would you
care to know these purposes?

Generalization:
Real and make-believe images can educate, entertain and
persuade.
IMAGES THAT EDUCATE help the viewer understand
something better. For example, a photo of historical figure at
an important time in history might educate the viewer.
IMAGES THAT PERSUADE make you want to buy something
or believe something. For example, an image of a woman
wearing make-up persuade women everywhere to buy that
makeup.
IMAGES THAT ENTERTAIN are entertaining to the viewers.
They may show funny things and funny situations or
celebrities having fun.
Say YES-YES-YES if the statement tells something true about images and
NO-NO-NO if the statement tells a falsehood. If it does correct the
statement.
