Trinity Lutheran Church â Missouri Synod is the tenth largest congregation in the
Southern Illinois District. Here, my duties included preaching, teaching and leading worship at
the church, school and several facilities for seniors.
03/13 â 06/14 Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Edmond OK Pastoral Intern
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church â Missouri Synod is the largest congregation of its
denomination in Oklahoma. In addition to preaching, teaching and leading worship, I created
an active senior ministry that included educational speakers, health clinics, fellowship outings
and visits to church members who were either homebound or institutionalized.

World Neighbors focuses on training and educating communities to find permanent
solutions to their challenges â hunger, poverty and disease â rather than giving them food,
money or constructing buildings. As Annual Giving Manager, I effectively managed the annual
giving program directed at individuals, congregations and organizations, utilizing direct mail,
internet giving, workplace giving and commemorative gifts. I identified and cultivated
annual donors and moved them into major gifts donors. Notable accomplishments include:
⢠Implemented Moves Management plan to advance donors to major giving circles and
to consider planned giving as an additional option of support
⢠Executed an outreach plan into faith and business community to increase
awareness of World Neighbors and secured revenue from organizations and individuals

Development
Founded in 1970, BFHP is the largest homeless services provider in the East Bay,
providing more than 150,000 meals and securing permanent housing for more than 300 families
2. annually. Most of its 2,000 clients suffer from mental health and/or physical disabilities. It
accomplished this on a $3.3M budget by leveraging community support. As its Director of
Development and one of five senior staff, I was responsible for all private fundraising, in-
kind goods and services, volunteerism, media and public relations (corporate,
government, community) and events. Major gifts portfolio was 300. Accomplishments:
⢠Increased annual revenues by 38% over targeted budget over 3 consecutive years from

Founded by Dr. Benjamin Spock and staffed by Mr. Fred Rogers, I became the first
Development Director in AFCCâs 55-year history. I established a scholarship fund for low-
income families; secured grants from Mellon Foundation et al, and autographed hockey sticks
from Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby which we auctioned at our golf outing.

the cityâs most impoverished neighborhood. As Director of Development and Outreach, I also
recruited volunteers, and served on the Board. My most successful accomplishment was
securing a $200,000 grant for the purchase and renovation of a four-story pantry and office.
